My wife & I stopped by yesterday, as we are narrowing down our search for a TT. We did so, after my EXTENSIVE research on my 2012 5.7 V8 w/a 3:55 RE, Quad Cab 4x4. I know my truck's capabilities, tow capac, pyld, and all added weights. I know this because it's extreme limitations. I've used fantastic spreadsheets for calculations. I know my limits. Not 10 ft from the door, the owner inserted himself into my conv w/ salesman. He told me that i was wrong, albeit w/o even knowing looking at my truck. He told us with WDH I could tow a heavier trailer, up to 6,500 UVW. When I brought up my numbers, he then told me NOT TO COUNT tongue or hitch wgt. I told him that, that was impossible. He then said all that weight goes to the steer axle. Backing it up with; 'by law he can't sell me TT I can't safely tow." He was extremely confident with his arrogant confidence, so I didn't argue. Do not ever go to a place, where from the top down, they're not safe, honest, or accurate. He was basically telling me that, w/ a WDH, all tongue and hitch wgt is erased. Be very, very careful when shopping here!

The sales department was friendly while we were picking an RV and purchasing it. Three days later when I picked it up, I arrived a little early so I went to the parts department to pick up a few items. The parts people were rude and unhelpful ( I spent $200+). The tech the did the walk through was thorough but rushed through it. When I asked if I could pull to a open spot to hook up my sway hitch, he said no but there was space out side the gate where I could. It was coarse gravel so I waited to do that and drive home. Overall I think the are proudest of the fact that they sell so many RVs. They say it all the time. Luckily I am a mechanic and don't have to rely on their service dept too much. The new trailer had a poor connection for the trailer brakes ( poorly crimped connection) They have a ton of trailers and are expanding too.

I called to make an appointment to buy this RV. My wife and I have been looking to buy, we just wanted the right price and the right fit. I noticed a travel trailer online. On my initial call to this dealer, the woman did not understand me when I asked for the sales department, she kept saying "service, service". I stated multiple times, sales and after a few minutes she told me to "hold on". After a couple of minutes, Johnny answered the phone. I informed Johnny that I was looking for a specific model that I saw online. Johnny used the old bait and switch tactic. Johnny stated "I have a similar model for $34,999" I informed Johnny that the one that I noticed showed online at $32,999. Johnny then said to me "no it shows $33,999". That's when I knew I was done. We have been to multiple RV dealerships in the area, that we have learned enough through the help of those dealerships of what we want. Most of the individuals at those other dealerships were very helpful. I know that I WILL NOT DO BUSINESS WITH BEST RV in Turlock CA.

Was sold an extended warranty that has not been honored. After 4 months of sleeping on bed I feel like I am in a canoe. The loveseat handle is broke. This RV is so cheaply made it is horrible. Best RV just wants to make money don't care about customer service. Don't ever buy a Dutchman Astoria trailer they are junk.

KAREN, in the warranty department is the absolute worst human to have to deal with. I called with an issue with our slide out in February. Never got a return call so I got in touch with Forest River directly. And surprise! She called back. Weeks later. She then proceeded to tell me the soonest she could get me in would be May and I would be out of my warranty period already. This is of course untrue. I filed the claim in February and the manufacture warranty was not up until late April. I told her she had terrible customer service as she was extremely rude. I then told her I may just have to take our $60,000 brand new trailer elsewhere because she obviously wasn’t willing to work with me. She responded with a comment along the lines of that would be best since I was was a complete inconvenience to her. The Forest River regional manager (who has been amazing) gave me a list of businesses I could try. Unfortunately, no one was able to do the warranty work. So I called Best Rv and scheduled an appointment for Friday, April 29, 2022. I realized I need a Monday appointment so I called a few weeks later to reschedule to Monday, April 25, 2022 with ZERO problems! This appointment was made over a month ago. Fast forward to this morning. I call to check the time of our appointment and I’m of course on hold for 20 minutes and transferred 4 times. They can’t find my appointment. By the 4th transfer, I’m connected to none other than KAREN. She proceeded to tell me that SHE canceled my appointment today and they refused to fix our trailer because I said they were terrible 😒 I of course say she can’t do that and especially can’t do that and not tell me. She said, I can and I did. At this point I’m heated and she says she will transfer me to her boss who I gladly say I’d LOVE to speak to. Of course, no answer from him when she connects me. Emailed the Forest River regional manager immediately and he jumps on it. He emails me back stating that they claim I NEVER had an appointment with them! Excuse me?! How is it possible that KAREN cancelled an appointment (without my knowledge) that she claims I never had 🤷🏽‍♀️ I’m still waiting to see what will be done but in the meantime we’ve contacted The Better Business Bureau and an attorney. This is not the last time Best RV or Karen will hear from us 😘 I WOULD NEVER recommend this place for any business. I hope KAREN does not get away with how she has treated us.

Only the facts - lots of different units and brands to choose from. We bought a new Forest River Wolf Pup 16FQBL. Everything after that went downhill. Sales person Johnny told us a 2-5/16 ball hitch connection and a predelivery inspection would address minor fixes, cleaning and test all components as working. None of this was done and the connection was wrong. 3 hours driving to pickup were wasted as I bought a custom 2-5/16” and it was 2” ball connection. Sales Manager Steve Massey was wrong twice about the solar capabilities. Solar panels are not properly charging and I have to plug it in just to maintain the batteries. I had to buy another hitch connection because of their mistake. Steve Massey said the owner of the dealership would not pay for our gas or the new hitch part I had to buy from their mistake. Heater got shorted out by their repair guy trying to fix a fan noise and 1 window doesn’t work. 6 weeks later 3 trips and several calls and emails- no compensation and nothing fixed. Called Forest River - others tell the same story of Best RV. We are taking it to another local dealer to get warranty repairs done. My opinion - stay clear of Worst RV

Best RV is the #1 “BEST” Bait and Switch RV seller in California. If you like to be lied to and stolen from this is the company for you! We visited Best RV about a month ago and decided on 2 units, 1 unit ended up out of budget so after doing some research we decided that the 2nd unit we loved, the Voltage 3951 was going to suit us perfectly as it has a 15ft garage. Last Friday I text the guy I was working with, Eddie, and asked if a specific unit was available, (stock #27695) he confirmed with me that the unit was still in stock and wanted me to come in ASAP. Being 2 hours away, I explained to him that I had already secured financing but was willing to see if they could provide any better rate. On Saturday I spoke with the finance manager and explained that I didn’t want him to run my credit 10 times like last time and if he knew any bank that he would recommend getting a better term, he recommended Golden One. I told him to go ahead and run it just to Golden One. He did so and the rate and terms came back higher than I had already secured so I told him never mind I would just like to move forward on the specific unit I text Eddie the day before. (They then ran my credit with 3 other banks after I specifically told them not to) They sent me a contract to send to my finance company, all the while I am to the understanding we are still talking about the same unit I text Eddie Friday. Monday my finance company received the contract from Best RV and I approved the purchase and was ready to sign Docs and fund Best RV for the unit. On Tuesday I call Eddie and tell him we are ready to go and that I would like to come down, a 2-hour drive to actually put my hand on the unit, inspect it and sign all of the dealer docs so when the funding happens next week the unit can be ready to pick-up. Eddie says yep come on down it's all ready. I drive the 2 hours down to meet with him, he takes me out to “the unit”, I walk in and it’s the wrong color interior, I say this isn’t correct Interior. He says oh it must be the other one, we walk into it, and nope still the wrong color, it's the Chrome package and I wanted the Raven package. So we run around to all of the Voltage RVs and can't locate the correct unit. I kept trying to give him the inventory # but he just ignored me, finally, he pulls out his inventory sheet and low and behold the unit isn’t on his inventory sheet. He was like Bro it’s the same unit, the first one I showed you the 3951, I kept showing him the phone from our message on Friday, this is the unit I am buying. He never once said he was sorry or that there was a mistake and it was sold just that the first unit was the one I was buying so after closer inspection of the bank paperwork, they switched the vin to the wrong color interior hoping to get funded before I would ever notice. Needless to say after a quite heated argument I left and decided to take my $85,000 somewhere else. Buyer beware!

I must preface with the fact that I did not deal with parts or service or warranty so placed a 4 star rating. I really don't know. My name is David Bigelow and I contacted Best R.V. at the end of February 2021. I live at Lake Shasta in Lakehead, California, about a five or six hour drive to Turlock. I called in January to set up a contact with the dealership in advance, knowing that within two months I would be purchasing a new Destination Trailer. I spoke with a sales person, Ricky S. and told him what I would be looking for and he was kind enough to give me my delivery charges to my campground. As promised I contacted Ricky in late March and we made an appointment to meet. After a six hour drive we met at Best R.V. the following Saturday. After viewing five or six units I found a plan that I liked and Ricky completed the sales sheet showing my "out the door" price. I was told several times that if this was the unit I liked that I should take it that day, or asap, because they were selling so fast. I was paying cash and have a general rule that I don't spend $50,000. for "Anything" the first time I see it! I asked about giving them a $5000. deposit. This would give me time to have monies transferred and remove my older 5th. Wheel and do a little lot prep. to accommodate the new 40 ft. unit. I was told that company policy prevented me leaving a deposit. I then offered a $5000. "Non Refundable" deposit. Ricky found the owner for me and we were very curtly told "No! I don't do business that way!" Being a bit put off we decided to stay the night in a Hotel close by. Sunday morning I called and we visited again and took photos and made the six hour trip home. About 2 1/2 weeks after seeing the unit, miraculously it was still available. I texted and asked about a few extras and we started making plans to make the drive down to purchase the unit. We asked about expediting the process by sending certified checks and paperwork via an overnight courier or making a direct deposit into their account but we're told "No". I picked up the certified checks from the bank eighteen days after viewing the unit. I sent a photo of the checks to Best R.V. on that Friday. I called to make an appointment the following day where we would depqrt early for the six hour drive and arrive for a noon appointment. However, my salesman had plans to attend a wedding on Saturday and could not meet us. We had previous plans on Sunday. So, we set the meeting for purchase for Wednesday at noon. Did they need any upfront information that might help expedite that meeting? No. Finally, and this really has is the short version of the story, at 11:16 a.m. on the following Monday, two days prior to purchase, I received this text. "Bad news David. The unit has been sold." No phone call, no consideration of the fact they had photos of the certified checks and no personal anything that possibly they could have taken my unit off the market for 2 more days...especially when I was ready and able to complete the purchase the previous Saturday! I was devastated. This was my full time home. I Love campground living. I have lived eight years at Lake Shasta and this was going to be my next ten plus year adventure here! Is what happened Illeagle? Certainly I am guessing No! Is it kind of immoral and kind of a creepy way to treat a customer? You bet it is!!! I'm a 66 year old dude and they did not treat me very well and it hurt. Will Best R.V. continue to sell a lot of R.V.'s to a lot of people? Of course they will and I can tell you that in the past month or so I have been long forgotten!!! (BTW...yes they told me up front to buy asap.)
