We love how easy the R-Pod itows with our SUV since it's so lightweight. The storage under the queen bed is huge, and I like how everything is easily accessible from the outside on either side of the trailer, as well as from inside. This was perfect for our family of three - two adults and one child. We also had two small children sleep on the dinette bed when we were camping with family / cousins. The sink is much roomier than typical rv sinks, and the automatic vacuum feature makes sweeping and keeping the inside clean SUCH a breeze! That is often the most frustrating thing for me as a mom while camping with kiddos running in and out, but not with the automatic vacuum door. The R-Dome is much easier to set up and take town than you would think when you first look at it, if you just watch one of the tutorial videos on YouTube, and we enjoyed how much moreprivacy it gives than a traditional awning, and makes it conducive to extra kiddos sleeping in it as well.

Our Forest River Vibe model is actually a VBT27FK-OR bit that choice was not available on this site. Our dealer declared bankruptcy soon after we purchased the unit. The next closest dealer is two hours away. Parts are not available through Forest River at all. On our first trip, we had a part break. We filed a warranty claim and were told the parts were on order. Now, nearly two years later we do not have the parts. We have noticed several quality defects since then. Our sliding door fell from the ceiling. The screws holding it up are secured to 1/8” ceiling panels. I would not recommend Forest River for your next purchase.

If I could leave 1/2 a star I would. This camper is just like a stereotypical trophy wife in the movies. Pretty, but doesn't work. In 2022, we purchased a brand new Salem 26DBUD, that was delivered to our home. It has been nothing but problems from day 1. If the service department completed the "mandatory" 8 hour walk through, prior to delivery, they would've seen broken latches, blinds not installed, wood cracked, wall wasn't attached to frame, slide out leaked, and the water tank hooked up wrong. We had to turn it in for repairs, before it was even used! Since then, something has broken every time we used it. Indoor and outdoor kitchen fridge's didn't cool, master bed support beam snapped, underbelly tore off, kitchen sink collapsed, main door won't lock, trim/molding separating, slide out roof leaked, shore power inlet caught on FIRE TWICE while on vacation, developed hot foot, which shocked my dog every time he touched the steps. Poor guy is scared of the camper now and won't enter or exit. We had to carry him in and out, and he's 70+ lbs. All of the issues we've had are manufacturer defects due to poor workmanship and while most were covered under the initial warranty, it shouldn't be happening to a brand new camper! This is a complete lemon, and not worth the hassle to use! It's in the shop more than we've used it! We've spent a lot of money on something that falls apart every time we take it out of our yard! We even had to find a new dealer to complete the repairs, as our nearest one doesn't get paid in full from Forest River, and they refuse to work on them anymore. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone! Do not waste your money!

We sis have an issue with the slide out the second year but was repaired under warranty. They also did a couple of recalls, so it feels really solid (ours is 170SSX Platinum with fiberglass walls). Wish it had more outdoor compartments, but it is very practical.

“Lemon”, I had several problems with my 2022 Rockwood Mini Lite 2509S within four months of ownership. The rv dealership I had made my purchase sold to another company. It was and still is extremely difficult to get Forest River Customer Service’s help to get anything repaired and or replaced. The reason behind all of the numerous problems I have with my Rockwood mini lite I was told is because of the Covid and the dealership didn’t do their duty of inspections neither because of the Covid. No one wants to admit the truth for the shoddy workmanship of installation, and using cheap low quality materials that continually fall apart. I have screws back out, the metal that was used is all rusting. I have malfunctioning electrical connections and outlets. I have a malfunctioning power awning, gaping and sagging slide out, faulty water system, and the list goes on and on. My 2022 Rockwood mini lite is a safety and health hazard and I can’t use it in this condition neither sell it in this conditions . I was told the repairs for the labor and replacement of many parts is going to cost in the thousands of dollars. Please spread the word and don’t make my mistake by purchasing a rv by Forest River-Rockwood.

Wanted to update my review from last year. This trailer is probably the worst purchase I have ever made. Might want to sit and take a minute to read this. It's detailed. Let me start off by saying I've been camping since I was 6 years old. So I'm definitely not new to this. Nor am I a super boujie person. I'm actually not at all, anyway. After rearranging my cabinets numerous times, I've come to the conclusion that inside storage is a huge problem. When people come to visit for a weekend, literally everyone's clothes (including mine and my daughter's) take up the whole top bunk. The only, one, closet in the bunk room is used for games and crafts for the kids. Clothes aren't able to be stored in the kids room. The only real significant storage is in the pantry which is super deep, but you need to step up onto the slideout step (about inches up) in order to reach in the back. You'd have to put shelves on the shelves to help keep it organized. But don't put too much cause then it starts to warp in. Such as a water gallon or water bottles, soda, whatever. That's definitely got to go on the bottom. Kitchen counter space is so horrible. My toaster and coffee machine take up literally the whole counter, so forget about preparing food near your sink and stove. You'll have to do all that on the dinette table, but make sure the kids aren't at the only table or indoor "play area". Unless you want your kids in bed all day while it's raining . My awning arm broke 7 minutes into a downpour. That was this past summer. Also, the cold water hose under my bathroom sink was never clamped tight enough, and I had about a half an inch of water under the cabinet, which seeped under my shower and into my livingroom under the corener shelves and fireplace. All the wood swelled up with water and mold. I also noticed the floor board seam (under the actual floor) was raising and started to come up through my bathroom floor. Because the front jack was twisted which made the wall panel in my bedroom warp inwards the floor also was creaking. That wasn't fixed over the winter year one (2 months after buying it BRAND NEW) so they are fixing it along with the other newly arised issues, replacing the water damaged wood, and my awning arm. This is winter #2 and both winters it was in the shop getting fixed. So I only used this trailer for literally 6 months. I purchased this trailer May 2022. It was delivered July 2022 due to delivery discrepancies from the dealship- no available personnel & RV shows. Picked up Sept 2022 to fix the front twisted jack, warped bedroom wall panel, a broken USB port and slide out tracking system because it wouldn't completely open or close. Was delivered back to me in May 2023. Awning arm snapped June 2023. Water found from opening bathroom sink cabinet to get cleaning supplies and found molded warped wood June 2023. End of July (ONLY APPOINTMENT AVAILABLE) the dealership came to fix water leak, covered under extra roadside and site warranty. Put in awning arm which ended up being the wrong size (too short). Oh, which then, while putting up the new, short arm, accidently tore/ separated the seam of the awning connecting to the top of the trailer. Only then did I find out that it was actually a manufacturer defect and was a recall due to the faulty and wrong glue. Go figure. But I was never notified about it before that or even after. They assessed the damage and decided I should call and arrange for them to pick it up for the winter so they can make all necessary repairs at the shop since they would have to lift the trailer to fix the floor beam and find out why the bedroom floor is creaking. So overall this thing has been a nightmare and it's been a huge headache. Couldn't even imagine if I actually used this trailer as a "travel" trailer which it is designed to be. After all warranties and extra add ons for road side assistance I spent almost $50,000 on something I've only used for 6 months. I have about $35,000 left on my loan. I'm just over it.

Forest River has been to my home 3 times since January 2023. Shower still leaks. BBB in Indiana and South Carolina both closed my case and suggested contacting an attorney. I can’t afford to do this. The Indiana Attorney General is now trying to mediate my case. That will take forever. I’m paying 375$ a month for something I can’t use. I’m a disabled combat veteran. I have stressor letters from my VA psychiatrist stating stress caused by inability to use and still making payments. I email Forest River daily. They don’t respond. BUYER BEWARE!! No lemon law on a rv. I’m stuck with something I can’t use.

I don’t even know where to begin. We bought this trailerT26DBUD in November of 2021. Since the first trip to Palm Springs we stopped at a gas station and a gentleman told us that a panel fell off under our trailer. I went to investigate and found the the front under panel fell completely off and was in several pieces, the middle panel was also coming off so I secured it with duct tape. We stopped at the Riverside Camperworld and they removed the panel that was hanging down. When we got back home I took it in to Camperworld in Roseville, Ca. They repaired the panels. The repairs were done in 3-1/2 months. We then went up to Washington state with no problems. 4 months later we are in Bakersfield, Ca and found that we no longer have electricity at our GFI plugs, our microwave oven, fireplace, television and most importantly our water pump doesn’t work. The workmanship on this trailer is absolutely horrible and we are extremely frustrated and unhappy with this piece of crap. We love this trailer but it looks like it’s built by a 3 year old. Reliability is everything. Camperworld in Roseville has a 5 month backlog, so now what do we do? 🤮
