Watch out for Jayco! 1 week after my 2 year warranty expired I discovered that the large slide out had a significant sag in the roof. The unit comes with a 3-year structural warranty but Jayco won't stand behind their warranty. They told me slide outs are no considered "structural". There's nothing in the manual stating slide outs are excluded. Very disappointed after being a Forest River owner for over 10 years. I thought Jayco was a reputable manufacturer. From the owners manual: The term of this Limited Warranty is 3 years for substantial defects to any “Structure Components”. Structure Components means materials and/or workmanship directly attributable to Jayco relating to the lamination of the fiberglass sidewall assembly, the lamination of the rear wall assembly, the lamination of the fiberglass front wall (wrap) assembly, sidewall/end wall/front and rear wall frame assembly (wood and aluminum), roof frame assembly (wood and aluminum), and floor frame assembly (wood and aluminum).

I purchased my trailer in Sept last year, and took it out for the first time in May of this year. Hooked up the water, and had a leak from the water heater, took it to the dealer, and was told warranty wont cover because it was a winterizing issue, not true. The grey water tank came from the factory with no plumbing, the seal around the tail lights allows water to get in. And we are battling with the dealer over getting things fixed because they claim the warranty company is holding them up. They have had my camper for a month.

This is our first time owning an RV, and we are so disappointed. The RV looks beautiful. We splurged for top of the line, because my mother was moving to live nearby us and could live on our property that way. The quality of build is horrendous. Keep in mind, we don't even drive the trailer anywhere, so it has not been roughly used. It sits in one place. We've had water leaks under the sink. We've had a water link in the hot water heater. The propane fitting was faulty and caused an outside leak. Jayco assumes no responsibility. We are just dismissed to the dealer. The dealer says call your service agreement. The service agreement people take forever to get back to us. Bottom line, Jayco's workmanship is shoddy. They impress you with pretty color and lights for the decor, but what a lemon. I can't imagine how much worse it would be if we were actually towing it places. The 3-star for driving and towing is only because Jayco wouldn't allow me to submit a review without it. We haven't actually towed it anywhere.

I wanted a quality bunkhouse that had an outdoor kitchen, huge shower, U-shaped dinette, and a couch. This model for the bill. I have had this unit for about six months now and have used it extensively in that time. This was not my first travel trailer so I was pretty particular on what I wanted. It’s long enough to fit my family yet short enough to fit in county and state parks. I love the interior and exterior colors. A few things I don’t like…1) in road mode, you cannot walk from the master bedroom into the camper (with the super slide in, it blocks off the door into the main cabin/bathroom. The trailer does have two doors, so you have to go outside and then back in to reach the bathroom. So if you pull over somewhere to sleep and you can’t open your slide, just remember that. 2) I don’t like how there is still carpet in the slide. It’s not necessary and other models have already done away with the carpet. 3) It’s a 50 amp trailer but it only came with 1 1,500 btu air conditioner. In the master bedroom, there isn’t even a vent to upgrade it with another air conditioner - so if I want to add an additional air conditioner, they would have to cut into the roof. Why make it 50 amp if there is only 1 air conditioner? Seems silly. 4) The outside kitchen refrigerator runs on 110 electricity. I know most outside refrigerators are like this but why? They run gas lines under the trailer to hook up to the outside cooking unit, it would be easy to change this option. I personally added a bumper attached swing out 17” Blackstone griddle and it is amazing to coincide with the two burner outside stovetop. This made the kitchen awesome. 5) When the outside kitchen pulls out, it sits at an elevated level. My wife is shorter, so she has to reach up to use it. I built a podium for her to stand on so she is more comfortable using the outside kitchen. The height of the outside kitchen is done for me. Overall I love the trailer and I haven’t experienced any major problems. I would definitely buy it again.

When the room was like 60 the heater would then kick on, even though it was OFF and set at 50, and would run till it was 80 degrees. Wow! The the A/C would kick back on and this cycle would run for days like this. The dealer finally said the thermostat was defective and gave us one to replace it. Now the fridge is out. All my food went bad and I have to find ice chest to live out of until they can fix this problem. The unit is less than 5 months old and two serious problems. I drove this unit 65 miles to set it up to live in. Without a fridge I can't work without having to finding a hotel to stay until it is repaired. Asked about a new one and they said it would have to be ordered. Great, $$$$$ in return time cost and hotel and food expenses. NEVER, I MEAN NEVER buy a JAYCO. I bought this because it was inexpensive. Looks like you get what you pay for. My Dodge RAM cost this and it's been on the road everyday with nothing but a bath and regular oil changes. If only I could live out of the truck and give this piece of garbage the heave "ho". I'll write more as this progresses. A few more problems and I'll turn this over to my attorney in New Orleans.
