2021 Jayco reviews

I have mixed feelings about this travel trailer. This was our big leap from a tent. The layout of the trailer is great, although the main bedroom is a little tight to move around in. There is ample space with the slide out to move around. What a dream right... however, the camper is falling apart and let me remind you, it's a 2021. We purchased a Jayco based on how great the quality was supposed to be but, our camper is so poorly manufactured that the ongoing issues have made this one of the worst purchases ever. It has spent more time at the rv dealer awaiting parts and being repaired that we've only used it 6 times in 3 years. That's hardly enough to even figure it all out yet. From various water leaks, to bulging exterior siding, decals peeling off, wallpaper bubbling, trim pieces coming off and/or bowing from the windows and walls, the outdoor kitchen installed crooked, the waste valve allows liquid to get past it, the vinyl flooring has cracked, the Jayco command control panel goes blank, the tanks give false readings on how full they are, the speakers cut out, the bathroom vanity cabinet is crooked and the bottom is coming out, etc.... contacting Jayco is useless, they have declined help/assistance because it is past the 2 year warranty, keep in mind, it sat at the dealer for almost 1 of those years cumulatively waiting for various repairs. I guess the bottom line is Jayco's quality isn't what it used to be so do yourself a favor and buy something else. Show less

Purchase my Jayco from Traveland Leisure Vehicles in Langley British Columbia Canada. This was my first time purchasing an RV. Recognised it was a lower end RV but didn't expect how poor a unit it is. Layout is fine for wife and I, or even with my grandkids. First issue we had after two 3 day weekend uses, was that the mattress fell apart. Completely burst open in multiple areas. Traveland did get me a new mattress and offered a brand new mattress topper. The finishing and quirkiness of the Jayco is awful. Shelving held up with one screw, and not level. Screws holding retractable screens on windows falling out as only threaded through 1/8" plywood. No 'stud' behind the flat surface. I have left the worst to last. The electrical is so temperamental. Five of the six flush ceiling lights do not work when slider is out!! All work fine when closed. One window in particular does not lock properly, I easily made my way into the RV when I accidently locked myself out!. Would never buy a Jayco again. Show less

1. Underbelly cover has fallen off twice. The second time it happened, after being “repaired” by Camping World of Albuquerque, it departed the RV on I-10 outside of Tucson. Luckily no vehicle was struck by it. Jayco contracted MesaRV to do a mobile repair at the campsite we limped into. 2. Rear axel had to be replaced when I noticed unusual tire wear. After axel and tires were replaced by local companies no issues. 3. Toilet would not flush. Clogged by what looked like sawdust. Unclogged and now works fine. 4. Leak under kitchen sink. Replaced a fitting and works fine. 5. Leak under shower. Tightened fitting no issues since. 6. Oven is very difficult to light, but once it is lit it works fine. 7. Fridge quit working. No CB tripped. Replaced in-line fuse that is accessed from the outdoor panel behind the fridge, Recommend having some on hand in case this happens to your unit. 8. Innoflame Furnace Model RV26D80L-1, heater quit working. Discovered the connector had somehow arced and melted where the power wire and female connector are crimped. This also melted a portion of the male connector on the heater unit. Whole furnace will have to be replaced and it is not possible to purchase the same model. There does not appear to be any replacement with the exact cutout dimensions. 9. JaySmart lights didn’t work properly as per the owners manual. CW of ABQ tech said he called Jayco and talked to them and they said it was working correctly. No so. I had called Jayco and explained this issue and they said the owners manual is correct and that I did, in fact, have an issue that needed to be corrected. Again went to CW of ABQ and got into a discussion with the service manager and tech and told them what Jayco had said. Tech said that wasn’t correct. I asked for a new tech and got someone who knew what to do. New tech got it fixed and it has worked per the owners manual since. I really don’t have a lot of confidence in CW of ABQ and don’t think I would buy anything from them let alone take my RV back. Actually I haven’t taken it back to them. Also, I don’t think I would buy another Jayco due to all the issues. Honestly, I don’t think I’ll ever buy another RV for that matter. I’ll just hold on to this one and do the repairs myself. I think the RV industry, as a whole, needs to do a lot better job with quality and service. This is my first RV and if they want customers who will continue to support this industry then they must do a much better job than what they are presently. Show less

We bought our pinnacle in Dec 2021 new The dealership has had it approximately 10 months so far. It is going back in at the end of October for yet another round of repairs. So far we have had four water leaks, two window leaks, two stabilizer leaks, the table warped, the leno replaced through out, shower surround replaced, the furniture replaced, kitchen faucet replaced, the shower head replaced, the drawer underneath the kitchen sink replaced (which is being replaced a second time due to water damage from yet another water leak) a crack in the gel coat repaired, and the roof is coming apart on the passenger side. I could go on but I think I have made my point. I get that there is no perfect rv out there, however there is a limit on how much poor quality and workmanship one should endure. We have lost our confidence in Jayco products. We bought their top of the line 5th wheel in hopes of avoiding all these headaches. When it comes to Jayco products, our experience with them gives a whole new meaning to (you get what you pay for) I called the manufacturer and told them about my frustrations and asked if, at the very least, they could extend my warranty for one more year. There response was (your warranty ends after two years of ownership) As much as we like the unit, we will not be purchasing another Joyce product. Show less

Purchased solely on the floor plan layout. At only 33ft it has everything we need and nothing we don't. The new Ford chassis & engine are a huge improvement. Although I didn't have to use the warranty much, the support line folks are very good and responsive. Show less

If I could have given a negative star, I would. The trailer I purchased has fallen apart. The first thing that happened was the table on the inside delaminated, the outside driving light fell off, the couch stitching fell out, the heater didn't work, and it was cold when we went camping expecting the heater to work, and numerous pieces of wood on the inside fell off. I took the trailer in to get everything fixed, and after a month or so, it was fixed minus the table, and they said they would call when it came in; well, no one ever called, and every attempt to get it no one new what I was talking about. NOW, the roof leaked, messed up the master bed, and caused a moldy smell, and more pieces of the wood in the room fell off in the primary bedroom. Lastly, the front part of the metal fell off while driving down the freeway, I had to pull over on the highway and undo some screws to get the piece of metal off, and one of the speakers from the awning fell off! I took the trailer into Camping World to get it fixed, and the extremely rude girl (that is another review) said none of it is under warranty. I purchased this trailer on July 2, 2021, just over two years and nothing is covered! Jayco talks about quality; well, where is it? This trailer has been the biggest piece of junk since the day I picked it up. Never again will I purchase a Jayco product, and I will never recommend them; as a matter of fact, I talk very badly about the craftsmanship of Jayco and tell people to find another type of RV to buy. Yes, Jayco is priced cheaper than other RVs and there’s a reason for it. POOR QUALITY! Two years ago I bought a new 2021 Jayco Alante 29F. Problems fro day one! And repeat problems that even the dealer had troubles fixing. The quality of construction and materials is terrible. I recommend if you’re considering a Jayco product, spend a bit more money and get out of the bottom class of RVs, which definitely includes Jayco. Show less

2021 Jayco North Point 310RLTS has been good overall. Problem areas: Main ceiling exhaust does not work, cover shuts by itself. BM Pro screen does not work. Have to control everything through the phone. Lack of QC during covid manufacturing. Black PVC pipe visible from floor to ceiling in bathroom. Should be covered by a wood box as seen in other North Points. Jayco customer service would do nothing as they stated it is out of warranty. Doesn't have anything to do with warranty as they were never installed from day one. I will look at Grand Design for my next 5th wheel. Jayco does not care about their customers coming back for future purchases. Jayco customer service is some of the worst I've experienced. Show less

Check out my first review. Update to my first review done on April 16, 2022. Now it is 2023 and new problems and same old camper. Found that the roof started leaking due to the solar panel was not sealed on one side from the factory causing roof to rot out. Had roof inspections each time when maintenance was performed by dealership and they did not even catch it. Called the factory but they would not return my calls so ask the dealership to help with this. No luck, the dealership wanted to give me a couple of hundred dollars off the price to fix a rotten roof but I declined cause they did not catch it in their inspections and the factory was at fault for poor workmanship and the factory said I should have caught it myself so I am responsible for paying. Stay away from Forest River. I am stuck with this junk and will not dare give it to someone else cause it would not be right. Show less

Watch out for Jayco! 1 week after my 2 year warranty expired I discovered that the large slide out had a significant sag in the roof. The unit comes with a 3-year structural warranty but Jayco won't stand behind their warranty. They told me slide outs are no considered "structural". There's nothing in the manual stating slide outs are excluded. Very disappointed after being a Forest River owner for over 10 years. I thought Jayco was a reputable manufacturer. From the owners manual: The term of this Limited Warranty is 3 years for substantial defects to any “Structure Components”. Structure Components means materials and/or workmanship directly attributable to Jayco relating to the lamination of the fiberglass sidewall assembly, the lamination of the rear wall assembly, the lamination of the fiberglass front wall (wrap) assembly, sidewall/end wall/front and rear wall frame assembly (wood and aluminum), roof frame assembly (wood and aluminum), and floor frame assembly (wood and aluminum).
