2021 Crossroads reviews

Bought this unit in October 2021. We love the layout and how spacious and functional it is. However, the workmanship of how it is built is just shameful. ALL Rvs are manufactured by just TWO companies - Thor and Forest River. Neither cares about their quality control. Trim pieces and walls are just plain sloppy. During Covid, they must have been slapping them together as fast as they could. They wouldn’t even give us schematic drawings using the excuse that they change sometimes during production, so no two units are alike! Had to replace the Insignia range in the first month. Had to replace the Jensen TV in the 3rd month. Had a slide out seal leak before 1 year that required transporting it professionally to Camping World ($350 each way) since we don’t own a truck and it is a residential unit. It remained there for 7 weeks to have floorboards and flooring replaced (that were factory installed with writing clearly showing THIS SIDE DOWN). Factory paid for warranty repairs $7,800, but has refused to reimburse for any of the transportation and diagnostic expenses or accommodations for 1 night on each side of delivery and pickup even though they stated they would review and possibly pay as a gesture of goodwill. We bought this unit on April 2022. It needed repair even before we possessed it. We had issues with graphics, slideout, door, leveling pad, table brackets, leaks under sink, Stains on upholstery. New trailer. When we finally got out, more problems showed up. When repaired, Got out again and more issues with door, outside kitchen bracket failed, Now awning needs work. All the expensive add on warranties are not applicable. Terrible quality. We used it three times in 5 months and hate it. The convenient floor plan is irreverent now. Service is non stop. Show less

Total covid camper. I wish we’d gone with a used fifth wheel but we pushed through and wanted something that was available ASAP. Pre-wired solar and backup camera were not, in fact, pre-wired (but 2nd AC was). Replaced the converter after maybe 6 months. Mirror on bedroom cabinet door cracked. Couch tore. Fridge door handle broke. Fold-up bunk bed platform sags. Sound system rear interior and exterior speakers stopped working (and the exterior rear speaker light doesn’t turn on) but it’s all still connected. Exterior plug melted the wiring inside because the wiring was loose in the plug (thankful we had a Surge Guard and a neighbor at a campground recognized the problem) - and there is a recall for this problem that our rig is not included in. Propane knobs broke. TV mounting in the bunk room is either not there at all or not where it says it is because we put the screw in and the back end came out into the outdoor kitchen. We made the mistake of getting an extended warranty that doesn’t cover anything that gets used, like the mirror or the couch or the fridge… not sure what’s actually covered. I KNEW we were getting a covid camper but for some reason thought maybe we wouldn’t get thrown into the fray of crappy workmanship and camper builder that doesn’t care at all. And the dealership doesn’t care either. We like the layout for the most part but have learned what we want in our next rig. Pros - outdoor kitchen with fridge, sink, grill. Half bath accessible from outside. Bunk room and main bedroom separated. Corner shower where we can fit a small portable/apartment washer/spinner. Stable steps are okay but the new version that auto-levels instead of having to hammer the pins out every time you use them. Show less

We replaced our older trailer with Volante, cost more and not nearly as nice. Had several items that we had to have the dealer fix, ended up doing a few of them myself. Came with a king matteress, can't move along the sides of the bed. The awning quit working, due to the wiring being pinched and shorting out. It has a nice layout with a separate room in the back. Needs two AC units to nicely cool the entire camper. Show less

Love the floorplan which is one of the reasons we bought it. The main bathroom is huge and the main bedroom is also large. Unfortunately, the quality of our 5th wheel should get a zero rating. After 2 weekend camping trips we had a list of more than 20 items that were not right. Some were minor issues but some were not...like the shower drained very slowly and a cabinet door fell off and the biggest was the slide leaked. Come to find out the slide was not square. We took it back to dealer for repairs in Oct. 2021 and as of beginning of June 2022 we have still not gotten it back. The 5th wheel should have never been allowed to leave the factory. I cannot recommend Crossroads Rvs as they don't stand behind their product and their customer service is not good. I sent them a message on their website asking them to contact me and never heard back from them. Sorry CrossRoads..I really liked my 5th wheel until it fell apart. Show less

One star because that is as low as it will allow. We purchased this brand new in July 2021 and have one issue after another. We live in it full time so taking it for service every time is not feasible and we have to use mobile repair services, pay up front and wait for reimbursement. After the first three months we noted water coming in under the baseboard between two of the slideout. A week later the dishwasher turned itself on and we could not get it to turn off - we had never used the dishwasher. The next morning we noticed water coming from under the island. We decided to just take out the dishwasher and use the space for storage. We found that one of the water fittings was faulty. A week later we again noted water under the island - this time we just replaced the fitting ourselves. The trim on the ceiling fell down. The light globe fell out of the ceiling fan/light and shattered. The shower wall came unglued and has a bulge in the wall. A brace under the recliner fell off and resulted in a tear in the flooring. Two months ago we found water in the storage compartment - again faulty fittings in the compartment. A month ago we noted that the hydraulic jacks were leaking oil. The mobile mechanic told us all 6 of the seals are bad and need replaced. Last week the sliding drawer in one of the cupboards fell off as it was not attached to the side walls very well. Today I went to cook dinner and have found that the igniter has gone out - this is not even used on a daily basis. The heat/massage/lights in one of the recliners frequently stop working. It is just my husband and I and we take very good care of things. If I could go back in time I would not buy a new RV. I would spend my money elsewhere. This has been a nightmare. The warranty company just says to take it in to a dealer - which we cannot do as it is our residence. Then you have to fight with them to attempt to get them to cover anything. Show less

We bought our new Hampton in April, we would love to love this camper but we have had nothing but issues. The microwave had not worked since day one and have been told several times that it is on backorder. Many many water issues that have not been fixed. Always the response is "we can't get a tech out there to fix it" Black tank flush not hooked up. Pump for fresh water faulty, toilet leak, air condition leak. Unacceptable service. So disappointed. Feel like is held up with staples and glue. Our recliner broke the first day. One of the board is warped in the cabinet. The floor has squeaky spots. The craftsman Quality is not that good. But I can get three people in my kitchen at a time and they’ll have a lot of space to move around Show less

The floor plan is absolutely amazing, our forever trailer. The chairs, couch and bed are all very comfortable. The kitchen is large and plenty of room to work. The workmanship though is very poor,it dose not match the quality of the trailer. The shower handle fell off the first day, the radio does not pick up any channels, the fridge only cools to 7 degrees. The auto igniter on the stove quite working the first week, lights under one of the lazy boys never worked, the main TV has a 5 degree slant, the kitchen tap leaks, and the satillite plug in only works part time. All of these things should of been checked out at the factory before shipping. All are under warranty, but now just waiting on the parts to come in. These things should never of happened, but once it's all fixed up it will be amazing. Show less

My 2021 Zinger lite is perfect for RV living. Mine is set up permanent at Lake Norman it is great. I am 70 years old, the floor plan is suited well to my living situation. I've read other reviews and I don't know about towing, mine was moved to the dealership and to my site, that's all. I had one little problem with a water leak behind toilet but was quickly remedied with a new coupling. Joe Berry Show less
