2020 Outdoors RV reviews

We have owned 2 Outdoors RVs. The first one was the 21RBS and now the 22FQS. Both are very strong and well built. We usually spend 3-4 months boondocking in our trailers. They can handle rough roads because they’re built tough with beefier support beams , stronger suspension and bigger tires. I would recommend them to anyone who cares about quality. Show less

We love this trailer. It is set up to accommodate all the necessary creature comforts. Very spacious dinette. Comfortable recliners and sofa. Tons of storage. Private Bedroom with queen bed on slide is to die for. Spacious Wall-to-wall closet/wardrobe in bedroom. Roomy and airy with large operating windows and three roof fans. Show less

This RV gives us the most out of a small RV with a full Kitchen, Bathroom, Living area and Queen Sized bed. There is enough open floor space for 2 large dog beds as well. It is very well built and insulated making it feel like a home. Huge fresh water storage and black and grey tanks to be off grid often and effortlessly. Show less

The trailer had some deficiencies which I noticed before heading out on first trip. Water fill line was attached with wrong size clamp and blew off as soon as water was connected. Drawers under bed not installed correctly and did not latch. Line to water pump leaked due to wrong size fitting. Slide out would not go out evenly . All these things where notice in my drive way before our first trip. I fix these issues myself. The dealer in Kelowna was very helpful and walked me through how to reset the slide out. Used this trailer only 26 days and only other issue was both fender skirts cracked. Called the dealer and the factory sent two new ones no problem. After having several RVs over the years they all have some issues if your handy you can fix most yourself. No doubt this is one off the better built trailers in the market place today tows like a dream . Show less

We purchased our unit in the fall of 2020, after extensive research we finally found something that was built for 4x4 off road quality. We did two trips with the RV less than 1200km on gravel road. We took our time and were very careful with our unit. On our first trip the microwave came out and the heater vent screws came off. We had the unit parked in our back yard drying out our awnings when the back awning broke off, only two screws were holding it secure on the unit. Our 2nd and last trip the hoist for the spare tire that is located underneath in the front of the unit failed causing the tire to bounce underneath causing major damages including water storage tank and suspension. When we finish our trip there were more damages inside and outside of the unit. Our unit was filled with major dust and when generator was used the carbon monoxide alarm would go off. Damages were... freezer door hinge broke, microwave mounting, range, drawers, cupboard doors, sewer hose storage, trailer break cable, counter top extension, missing screws on wheel fenders, broken sewer door lock and sewer handle. We called our Dealer and they said everything is covered on warranty. So we dropped it off at our Dealer for warranty repair. Outdoors RV response was... "We have reviewed warranty repair request as well as the photos you sent. Outdoors RV is respectfully declining all of the listed repairs, as the damages are caused from extreme use and not due to defects in materials and workmanship." Outdoors RV basically said without proof that I extremely used the RV How? by going on gravel road is "EXTREME USE". If extreme use was really what I used it for I'm positive the sensitive areas of the unit would be damaged, like TV mounts etc. We were devastated to hear this from Outdoors RV especially after all the research we did trying to find an 4x4 off-road unit, we thought that Outdoors was the real 4x4 off-road unit, this is why they created the Trails Series. Don't be fooled. So buyer beware that warranty should be fully guaranteed when you are spending 80k on any RV unit. This is not the case with Outdoors RV, I didn't get my moneys worth nor did Outdoors RV hold up to the so called 4x4 OFF-ROAD craftmanship warranty. When we did our research we relied on reviews like this, so this is why I'm writing this review so buyers looking for a 4x4 Off-road RV need to beware of false claims to 4x4 Off-road and look out for the poor warranty coverage. This is a perfect off grid rig. It was complete behind a three-quarter ton pick up truck. Plenty of room to live in and for storage. Great headroom and spacious bathroom. We haven’t had any problems mechanically. Everything is held up well over the past two years. I look forward to continued camping! Show less

Trailer has great fit and finish and a great design. Very few minor problems and Todd at the factory was great at fixing those. We added a second air being down in Arizona this winter and it is a great four season rig. Show less

Love the design and layout... Put together as cheap as possible and things only lasted about a year. Lost all fans at 13, 15, 16 months. Sensors in Black and gray water always show 2-3... Windows are horrible to slide and started leaking at 14 months. I think we got the last on the line - throw what is left in it and see if some fool buys it... Customer support has been dismal. Purchased the anniversary series in December 2020. Just came back from a month long road trip. Overall, almost everything worked well. The blaring exception is the electric jack. It is going in for a second replacement. Two engineering friends said the diameter of this jack is too small for this trailer. But the factory said this was the only jack that worked with the auto levelers. I'm concerned this will happen again. The only other problems are a cabinet handle that broke because some doors are very hard to open. One cabinet divider piece is already loose because of the force needed to open the door. Some were not hung straight. The unit tows very well. All other systems work well. The 10 gallon water heater makes it possible to take a bath or a long shower. And it quickly recovers. About 20 minutes. I don't like the unsupported floor of the bathtub. Am concerned there will be problems down the road. Most cabinets are solid wood. Others are a little flimsy. If the hitch issue can be resolved, I will give an overall thumbs up. When reporting a problem to the manufacturer, it really helped to have a video of the issue. Show less

2020 22FQS Anniversary Edition We purchased this because we liked the floorpan and thought Outdoors put pride into what they built however, as noted by others here there is a serious lack of quality control with this company (None to be succinct). We took it out the weekend we purchased it for the shake down and found some of the same things as others have complained about such as, inoperable Furrion system, kinked water lines, ladder was installed as to interfere with the roof vent, they actual forgot to install the solar ports on the roof but did cut the hole for it and then just stretched the rubber roof over the hole, Improper and illegally colored running lights installed, floor registers missing screws after they stripped the holes and just decided to omit them. The dealer is refusing to purchase the items needed to repair, so we are waiting on the manufacturer to send the parts and our brand new Travel Trailer is sitting on the lot waiting to be repaired.
