Do not buy a Heartland!!! Out of the 2 years we have owned it we have only been able to use is four times. The rest of the time it has been in the shop. First time we had a list of over 40 items to be fixed. Second time over 30 and every major system had to be replaced (Fridge had to be replaced spoiled our food, inverter burned up and burned wiring, gas regulator leaked both tanks of gas, cabinet door hinge fixed for the second time still not right and I could go on . Third time the hydraulic hoses rubbed a hole and all the insulation was soaked with fluid, jacks had to be replaced and I could go on and on. Now the fridge has problems again won't run on electric only gas. Every system has been replaced some multiple. Replaced stove, oven, fireplace 2xs, slide alignment, water suctioned out of the overflow, dyson vacuum 4 x s, dresser. Its a piece of junk! Now we are being told it is only worth half of what we owe on it. Nothing good to report.

I purchased this RV from Gander RV in Coldwater MI in December. Pulled the unit back to Indiana and set the unit for storage. In late January I discovered water on the floor at each of the slide units. I took the RV back for warranty work in February. The unit has been setting at the dealer now for over 2 months because Heartland will not respond to the quality issues. I personally called Heartland and talked to Adam Batson to find out why they continue to drag their feet on all of the quality issues. Adam assured me three weeks ago he would override if their vendor did not come up with a solution to the slide issues. Adam did absolutely nothing he said he would do to fix the issues related to the leaking slides. Heartland quality is terrible, and they take no responsibility for the poor work they put out. I can't believe this company is still in business. The reviews I read on Heartland must have been written by Heartland executives and not real customers.

Nothing but issue after issue, first the furnance would not work properly had to replace the thermostat and the board, water heater leaked , thermostat in bedroom ac is crap, the ac got stuck wouldn't turn off, delamination on slide out in dining area no water intrusion, heartland does not want to warranty, something has popped up on the roof, ( perhaps a screw), have a couple of random spots on the other slide where tv is, no water intrusion, random leaks, ( have always checked lines), the monitor panel is nothing but crap -will not retract the slides, have to use the app to do so, the service rep at heartland isn't very helpful, and when you call the other reps state your rep is off today etc. black tank valve well it wont shut all the way, gray tank 1 will not shut all the way, trying to order parts to take it in for warranty and heartland expects me to let the panel down underneath for pictures of the parts they need, hall lights went out within first month, jacks constantly make a flipping popping sound, within the first 90 days the caulking was junk. the ac in the living room, the 4 vents by it doesn't blow out much air at all. The side shade, shade by dining area and the shade behind the loveseat decided not to work again, you have to manually roll them up, except the one that the screen will not stay down on. have had this less than a year now

my experience with this rv is everytime I take it out something goes wrong where I have to take it back in to get fixed. tv antena broke, my rubber seal start coming off on both sides, then got it fixed and they came off again and then my hot water tank was not work right and then my front too get jacks would not work right, they kept coming down when I would disconnect front my truck so I had to keep raising them up and when I hook up to my truck and raised them up they would come down about 4 inches and would not stay up, so I had to drive like that til I got too my destination. And it's still not fixed after beening in the shop for 6 months now!!!!!!

I am sad that I can’t post a review with no stars. The fact that there are huge gaps between the roof and the wall and major leaking, has me nervous towing, or camping in mild weather with any breeze or precipitation. It is not enjoyable to live in or own. My traveling work partner purchased a 6 month old Heartland Bighorn 5th Wheel from Lazy Days RV in Florida. He started having leaks almost immediately. Long/short of it there is $16K worth of damage, and both the dealer and manufacturer refuse to fix or pay for it. He paid over $55K for this travel trailer, and live in it when traveling for work. Heartland RVs practices poor customer service and are unwilling to stand behind their product. After doing some research I found out this company has a history of doing this to its customers, let’s let them know this is unacceptable. TIA. https://www.facebook.com/ P.S. Only issues were a a leaking hydraulic leveler and a dented porch light. A few cosmetic interior issues. We have been able to use the trailer. We are waiting to have the leveler replaced , and replaced the porch ourselves. There was a bolt missing from another leveler. That will be fixed as well . Appt is in February. Other than that, no leaks if any kind, everything works. All plumbing works no leaks. I’m happy with this trailer. We had a TT prior to this, COMPLETELY DIFFERENT MANUFACTURER Forest River Sunset Trail 32 ft . Had many issues with the fridge. Had to have motherboard replace twice. Couldn’t get satellite hookup to work. Had to hook directly from outside. So saying all this, EVERY RV MANUFACTURER is going to have some kind of issues, wether it be minor or major. Have had no problems with warranty.

I would highly recommend looking at a different brand. Given they are all built like junk in my opinion this takes the cake. I have had nothing but problems with this 5th wheel since day one. Blown hydraulic line from factory. Bad fridge sensor(constantly thinking the door was open and triggered alarm). Two leaking water lines. Above the powered recliners the ceiling decided to separate pulling all the staples with it. Mind you the staples used to staple paper together are bigger. Nothing but junk materials used on this. We also had our grey water tank #2 valve stop working, zero clog the cable used to open it came disconnected. All of these issues have happened within 3.5 months of owning it.
