First of all, the positives. The rig is a beast of power. The Mercedes Diesel is relentless both off road and on road excursions. I towed over 3K lbs over the steep and high Rocky Mountains of Montana, Denver, New Mexico. The hot desert roads of Death Valley, and the Appalachian Wooded mountains of Georgia, Kentucky and Alabama. Now the negatives, Generator died with 4hours use, toilet connections leaked, Infotainment Center is like a bad relationship (on again, off again) … replaced frozen shower valve … DEF sensor replaced twice, still not consistent … screen door squeaks and rattles like is about ready to fall off … propane tank sensor replaced twice, when this fails you cannot use any of the propane appliances … back up camera keeps freezing … Slide out locked when in a out position … left side stabilizer jack motor failed, using a drill bit to open and close … water pump connection broke, leaked under bed spend a week drying it out … tankless water heater controls are very temperamental, took several hot/cold showers … chrome wheel nut covers were tacked on … when I had the brakes replaced, the mechanic removed them … informed me they were just tacked on with an aluminum bead … I have a bag of shiny chrome nut covers stored in my drawer …. I attached a 120K RV garage to my current 2 car garage, just so this rig would not be exposed to any harsh weather elements … should have just put the money on a higher quality RV, and keep it outside in a cover.

Overall, very pleased with our Winnebago View 24D. It’s very easy to drive and maneuver in traffic and a snap to get into and out of a camping location. We’ve taken our View into the mountains on public lands, using Forest Service and Bureau of Land Management established campgrounds, but but primarily enjoyed dispersed camping locations in remote scenic sites. The solar panels are perfect for all our remote camping, the on-demand hot water heater functions beautifully with instant hot water, and the propane furnace is excellent, switching to electric when available. The layout is very good, allowing maximum room for living, food preparation and cooking (outstanding amount of kitchen counter space). Storage inside and underneath is more than ample. Having a self-contained shower is wonderful. All of the water tanks (fresh, gray and black water tanks) are well sized to meet long use needs. The generator is a bonus and works beautifully for that extra bit of power to run the microwave and AC. Winnebago went all out to make all of its systems easy to operate and hassle free to ensure a safe and fun camping experience for us.

We found the View 24V floor plan to be very comfortable after downsizing from our 32’ Class A. It drives like a charm, even when towing. And navigating the heavy traffic on the DC beltway recently wasn’t a challenge because of good visibility and handling. As with many new RVs, there were minor issues which were quickly resolved at the dealer - hence the 4-star quality rating.

Purchased this new from a dealer. It has been in the shop multiple times with only 5,000 miles on it. When new the inverter stopped working, the house batteries were bad, the display stopped working, the door never worked right, refrigerator stopped working, the hood latch broke, and more. Winnebago has pretty much been non existent in helping with anything. They just say go to the manufacturer. It's currently in the shop trying to troubleshoot the refrigerator. After a lot of hassle, RiverPark finally covered the display, but we had to pay labor. If you buy one of these, I would add about 20,000 to your cost for repairs, and go ahead and make an appointment with a shop for repairs beforehand.

I purchased a 2019 Winnebago view from Lichtsinn RV in Iowa. I have to be clear my complaint is NOT with the good people at Lichtsinn. They are courteous, efficient, cost effective, professional and customer oriented. My plan was to buy from them over and over again...UNTIL....I rolled out of Iowa excited to have my brand new View. On the drive home the infotainment system stopped working. Without going into all the DOZENS and DOZENS of emails, phone calls, return trips to maintenance department, and texts to both Winnebago and Riverpark (the reseller of the infotainment system) my situation remains unaddressed over a YEAR later. I finally took the vehicle back and had an entirely new system put in. It too was defective. Recently with riverpark on the line after replacing every part of this system I took the entire panel of the RV apart. I wanted to give them one last chance to make this right before giving up and handing it over to my legal department. I saw what the problem was and he (Riverpark) admitted it was a mass manufacturing defect with a cheap attempted fix. He sent me to Winnebago, Winnebago sent me back to Riverpark...you can see where this is going. If you have a problem NEITHER WINNEBAGO NOR RIVERPARK WILL ACCEPT RESPONSIBILITY. I plan to leave reviews everywhere I can to raise awareness. I will purchase a third party system and rather than replace my view every two to three years as planned I will switch to another manufacturer that will stand behind their products and those of their third party manufacturers. This morning I received a voicemail from Riverpark...thinking maybe they had come to their senses and worked something out I listened, yet again giving them the benifit of the doubt. It was a woman from Riverpark looking for one of the defective 50 cent plastic nav SD cards to be returned to them. At least someone is taking care of the big problems over there? Hence this review.

Bought a new Winnebago View and picked it up October 5, 2018. The motorhome has been in the shop for 2.5 months out of the 6 months we have owned it (3 separate failure issues). Currently it is in the shop and no one can say how much longer it will be in the shop. Horrible customer experience. Would never recommend anyone buying a Winnebago. Have been in contact with Greg and Steve in customer service and owner relations at Winnebago. Apparently it is acceptable for a motorhome to be in the shop over 33% of the time. Neither were able to offer any assistance. Worst customer experience I have had in my life. What is the point to owning a motorhome when you can't drive and enjoy it.
