So far 2 of the 3 slide outs have to be opened and closed manually for closing for season. The 12 volt lighting system in front half of camper don't work. This yr just for kicks the grey water tank fell out. So all in all it was probably a Friday built before a holiday weekend. I have contacted Keystone, but they must still be out for Covid. Wouldn't recommend to an enemy. Thanks for your time

If your thinking about a camper I would NOT recommend a keystone product.

We bought this RV, montana high country 331rl, in Feb of 2019. Manufacture date was Oct 2018. I loved the floor plan. Unfortunately our first camping experience, May 2019, we found some issues. The bathroom door makes a grinding sound when you close it, which in the middle of the night is annoying. The freezer didn't have a seal and didn't get cold enough to keep food frozen, the ice maker was not hooked in made a loud noise, (which is inaccessible unless you remove the refrigerator by taking out the slide), the black and gray tanks were labeled wrong ( good thing the health department did not inspect the campgrounds, as we were dumping into the gray tank), the leveling jacks were displaying error but camper was level and when the furnace was turned on it started to work but then went off and wouldn't come back on, which we found that the plastic bag the igniter came in was left on the igniter, installed and melted the first time we turned it on! It prevented the igniter from lighting. Once we peeled the plastic off , it worked but then we discovered the vents weren't connected and only the floor was heating! The place we bought from wanted us to bring it back, almost 200 miles, and it would get repaired, but reviews said it could take the whole camping season to get done because the service department sucks , plus we were already set up so we had the repairs done ourself. If you are parked in a shady area you are good as far as the AC but if you get even a few hours of sun be prepared to have it be cooler outside than inside the camper. The biggest flaw in this model is the windows. Out of 13 windows, 9 are crankouts that only go out about 5 inches. These crankout windows are useless! You don't get any outside airflow through them. We also have a sky light over the island, which looks nice but the sun beats in and heats up the camper faster, so we keep the shade pulled over it 24/7. After 1 camping season the microwave, a highpointe model, which was hardly ever used, kept blowing fuses. Come to find out the door was mounted wrong and when shut, shook the fuse, causing it to blow. Lastly we heard a popping sound one evening and saw that the awning was coming off the camper at one side. When inspected , it was attached with too small of screws. We bought molly screws and reattached the awning properly. I like the floorplan of this model and have looked at the new models of this camper and it is still built the same.! No thank you.... I would not purchase a new one nor do I recommend this model to others! We have learned looks are not everything. Our next camper, we will go through with a fine tooth comb, and look at functionality and reviews!

Bought our unit new and as a whole we love it. There are a couple issues though - the one year warranty. After a couple months of use it went in for repairs mostly due to cabinet quality. They keep it for month and didn’t repair several places the veneer was pealing. I’m order to enjoy the Rv a little we hesitated to take it back in right away. We didn’t really get a chance to use it enough to get to know the Rv and find other problems. At this point the cabinets are really the only reason I wouldn’t recommend Montana. It’s sad the money spent and have to live with such poor quality. One year is just not long enough when repairs take so long. Time should stop while in the shop not being able to use. It’s only in the manufactures benefit to allow the dealer be so slow.

Where to begin? Less that 3 months after the purchase, the rear AC was replaced under warranty. The dometic refrigerator has had three different parts replaced. Trim has popped off during transport on three occasions. The latest....now that we are out of warranty, is the main floor is severely sagging from the living room / kitchen, down the center, into the rear den. I am not sure what the floors are made of and not sure if floor joists can be added. It appears that there may not be any joists across the center of the rig. Unfortunately, we live in the rig, so putting it in a shop for endless months is not an option. And I'm sure that any production defects are no longer cared for by Keystone since the warranty has expired. Does anyone know if there is a lemon law for RVs?

For the cost this is a well made unit. Easy to tow with our Ram Diesel and easy to back up. We added the all in one laundry machine since we wanted to live in the unit for some time. Could handle the winter in Indiana with temperatures down to -6F or so using heated water hose. Learned that you don't leave your dark tank open. Only open to empty it when it's full or crap can freeze, lol. Wish windows were thermo-pane/dual glass or something better but we put up 1/8" foam packaging material on them and it worked well. Best in summer to use only a 50amp site as it has two AC units. 30amp is an option but on hot days, you'll wish you could run both units. Has a great open floor plan with the 50" TV angled over a fireplace that can also be used for heat or without. After parking it, so easy to set up using the auto level control. I'd never buy one again without this. This has two gray water tanks, one in rear for kitchen sink so it can store allot if no hook ups. Unlink most 5th wheels this model has an open stairway with railing to make if feel more like home too. I needed warranty work and even when I couldn't find a dealer to help, Keystone not only sent me the parts, they paid me back for the labor. We had to replace the roof antenna and they were great for this. I could go on and on but will add that it has a ton of storage space.

Since buy this unit new in 2019 we have had one problem after another with it. From the wall separating the the living room/ kitchen and the rear den area coming apart to trim falling off, to the refrigerator door skin coming off, led lighting on the outside coming off, the Lippert leveling system not working more than it has worked and that’s after the front jacks were replaced, wiring issues to the point that on one occasion I could smell the wires burning, the furnace not lighting, the water heater not working properly, the awning not working, and I’m sure im missing something. It’s been to the dealership st least 6-8 times in the 3+ years we’ve had it. Overall the quality of this camper is garbage. I’m so thankful I got the extended warranty. I would never recommend a family member or friend buy a newer Keystone Montana!

I own this model and it has been great for our family. Our daughter choose this RV for the loft sleeping area. She's 10 and still loves it to point we had to get her a loft bed for the house. The room under the loft is the perfect space for her to play and do homework. When Covid shut down the schools this RV became her home school classroom. With our crazy work schedules we could not get on the road with the RV so we started spending weekend in it. RVing in the back yard was not bad. After a few weekend we started stay in it a few days a week and finally just moved into it full time. This is a four season RV but when winter came the floors were a bit chilly so we put down carpet over most of the tile floor. We also purchase 100 Lb propane tank to cut down on refills during the winter. Those were great improvement and made winter weather a none issue. We replaced the pull out sofa bed with a chair for our daughter. This allowed better viewing of the TV and more floor space. The floor plan and standard furnishings are great for a family with children. The loft can sleep 2 and the bunk room 2 also. I would think this would be a good setup if you don't have kids also. The loft has a lot of room for storage and the bunk room could be an office area for those of us that just can completely get away from work. We love this RV and are only selling because we are building a new house. I'm sure once we have that complete we will be looking for another RV.
