2019 Heartland 5th Wheel reviews

This is the third fifth wheel camper I have had and It is the poorest quality of the three The others were a Dutchmen and a Jayco. This unit has cheap furniture, cheap flimsy wood trim inside that is falling off, the finish on the woodwork is junk and scratches easily. The tires that came on it were chineese junk. the slide outs do not seal tightly when closed. The bedroom slide out leaks water into the floor in the bedroom. I just discovered that the basement storage area has been leaking on the driver side and has rotted the floor out So its probablly been leaking since it was new. The plastic trim around wheel wells is poorly fastened and flaps in the wind going down the road. I will never buy a heartland product again This Camper has not seen heavy use and is falling apart. Biggest waste of money ever! What a piece of crap.... lousy warranty, poor customer service. Issues with the toilet plumbing in both bathrooms. Rear bed goes up and sometimes doesn't. Dealer is always "backed up," see you in 6 to 8 weeks. Shody workmanship on the enterior. Loose the freaking nail gun or atleast use a little liquid nail BEFORE nailing everything. The KANTLEAK system, only leaks. The factory sent me two more and they are crap! BEWARE STAY AWAY FROM HEARTLAND AND LAMESA RV!! Show less

This is a great RV for all campers new and experienced (we owned a tag along for about a year before we decided to upgrade). The auto leveling system is amazing, much easier than watching a level and adjusting, only takes about 2 minutes and you are ready to set up for camping. With this camper being built in or before 2019 there are no shortcut issues that I have been seeing in reviews of other new RVs. Everything in this camper is top notch quality. We have large dogs, and the furniture has held up to them and their big paws with no damage. This is a very well put together vehicle with a lot of little extras that I would never have even thought to add to a camper. You could comfortably live in this full time. only had 1 issue with 1 of the jacks, and tech support was able to walk us through fixing in a matter of minutes. Excellent vehicle!! Highly recommend. This was the perfect RV for us. 41 ft long, a bathroom we both could get into with seperate sinks. And the thing that sold us was the washer and dryer being in the bathroom and not the closet. tons of storage space, of all our RVs this one was definitely my favorite! Show less

We like the storage and the rig tows like a dream. Hot water and heater work per spec. Bath room shower, vanity and toilet are to spec. Kitchen range and sink to spec. We have so many problems with hydraulic leveling not wired properly and a hydraulic fluid leak to the leveling system that also runs the living room and kitchen slides. The refer doesn’t work when outside temperatures go above 70 degrees that has been from day one and it doesn’t work on electric at this time,freezer is frozen iced up all the time! We have reset the refer with magnets at the back black box out side I can’t remember how many times. The air conditioners had to be reworked, blowers motors that were replaced and shimmed up and that didn’t work. Front door and lock replaced do to poor install, lights that were not wired. The list goes on; it’s in the shop for the third time for warranty work. The fact is Heartland has no quality control over its piece workers, or training for its piece workers. Love the RV but Heartland parts and service Suck. A window for my RV sat in their warehouse for over 2 months then it was damaged before they could ship it to my repair facility and had to be reordered which added another month to the wait time Then a panel was ordered in March and it has been sitting in their warehouse for over a month waiting for someone to stick a label on it and send it to my repair shop I am so fed up with Heartland I would never recommend their products No one seems the least bit concerned that my unit has been sitting at a repair shop since September 26,2021 waiting on Heartland parts Show less

Loved the look and large bathroom but within 2 years have replaced almost EVERYTHING. Very expensive, after paying new! So disappointed! It's been 3 years and we're still experiencing problems. And when I say everything I mean everything! Show less

Refrigerator keeps blowing fuses and not working the way it is suppose to. Plug into electric and it wont come on.Works ok on propane. Fireplace switch broke to turn on/off. Should not have these problems with the money we spent. Manufactures pushing hard to make them and too many mistakes. Show less

We bought ours Jan 2019. Brand new Lamesa Phoenix az Was delivered tv open shower doors open. Doors between the bedrooms been going back and forth Told them make sure everything works . The marble is broke under the fireplace. Entrance door open hitting the holding bar. Would not stay latched . Driver saif i just deliver Many issues took it to Albuquerque nm 3 days nothing got fixed. There was more wrong after we left. They have no idea about the new wi fi and how things are hooked up but sell them The outside light above the door did not work the fan did not work . 2 and half years later still don't work Been told there is a secret switch..for 3rd ac and fan..why would there be a secret switch.i have looked in every cupboard nothing . Just why hidden. If its something your going to use.. 3rd ac unit was not working or fan yet .one section of the recliner did not work opened up and wiring was different than the other ones, there is wi fi boxes on walls to run lights . No one knows how to set them up. Called Lipperd and heartland no one could help Went on first trip Levelers were trying to tip us over. Called was on the phone 4 hours maybe the box in the back. Was told sometimes there tie rapped and they break..something that is up under the camper No one could tell us were it is. Get a tec out there.. sounds easy And also commented did we know how to use a level My husbund hung up were in our 60s. So yes. But it was still trying to tip . Tired off the ground crazy . A year later still no one to fix them without a apt months later Husbund works can't just take and leave and get . And no mobil units to even mess with levelers also water system was filling the tank air in the system. called no one has it can order it 2 weeks to a month .. we are traveling. Wtf my husbund took it apart a o ring broke . Can't get them either Not round thicker on one side. So he put cylocone.temp fix . Called Hartland direct talked to a jim once. Under warrantee 3 years . This trip nothing is still been fixed talked to a Laurie at heartland again . She seems very helpful But to get someone to work on it still nothing.she called a repair shop going to get us fixed up. Talked to him No can look at it if we need parts will have to order no one has anything. So she is suppose to call back. Yet to hear back. Without being told June to Aug. I just know we had a cyclone toy hauler and problems But this is the biggest lemon yet and we bought them brand new thinking no problems. Just not sure what to do Know will never buy a heartland again there warrantee is ok maybe. Never can get anything done A big disappointment have screwed and fixed a lot of things ourself .
