From the day we bought this unit there have been nothing but problems and recalls from the company. The dealership I purchased this unit from has a pathetic service department. We are retired and use our unit often. The factory contacts you about a defect and then wants you to pay the expense of parts and labor, provide photo documents to the fact and they determine if they reimburse you for the parts (that they say are knowingly defective) and they will not pay all the labor. The door of my trailer touts a big 3 year warranty promise but the factory has a different tune when they contact you. The list of defects is too numerous to list here but they include a defective inverter, ac (numerous times), refrigerator issues both propane and electric, battery charging issues galore, battery buddy issues, propane valve issues, axle bearings, leaking or rubbing thru of propane lines that are rubber not gas pipe, We chose this unit due to it having a large kitchen area and plenty of counter space. The layout of this unit is perfect for our needs as we spend large amounts of time in one place each summer. All the defects that are brought up require you to take the unit to a dealer and they will not give a for sure appointment you just have to leave the unit and they get to it at their convience. . This is our home for much of the year and this unit has spent many long periods at service centers awaiting basic simple repairs. I am a retired mechanic but the factory will not let me fix these problems myself. We have been an RV family for a lot of years and this unit was a retirement gift to my wife and I to enjoy our retirement. This unit has been a nightmare that don't seem to end. I certanly would not buy another Grand Design product and do not recommend them to anyone else. They are basically a rolling hunk of overpriced junk that the factory makes the sevice issue way more complicated than it has to be. I have a stack of service invoices and numerous emails to support every statement I've made here.

After a little over 2 years of use I am still very happy with the build quality. What issues I did have were relatively minor and addressed immediately by Grand Design. The most impressive part of their customer service was demonstrated when my Thomas Payne theater seat sprung a spring and was poking me in the rear. Thomas Paine totally blew me off, but Grand Design stepped in and helped me with the cost of replacing the seats, even though it was not their product and out of warranty. That level of quality service is hard to find.

We have camped with this RV on 5 occasions. Most were week long trips. Well insulated, A/C and Furnace work great. Pulls great, we use a Blue Ox weight distribution hitch. The outdoor kitchen is great. We replaced the factory mattress with a 10" memory foam, much better. Storage throughout is great and we love that Grand Design does not put the vents in the floor. Full walk on roof is great, makes it easier to clean the top of the slide before leaving a campsite. Plenty of room for a small family. We have had my parents camp with us and our son comfortably. We love that Grand Design really stands behind their product and takes the care prior to delivery to ensure that most, if not all, potential issues are fixed. We have had only minor issues that were easily fixed with a quick google search and doing it myself. Though the water heater is only 6 gallons it does heat up really quickly and has easily allowed us to have 4 adults shower one after the other, all with hot water.

We bought this trailer upon our retirement from the military while still stationed in Florida. We are new to rving, but we're smart enough to know that this camper has some real issues. Let me name things that have gone wrong in the first 6 mos: blinds all unravelled and are hanging loose; kinked gas lines; loose screws on recliners that got caught in slide and ruined floor; oven came apart; "wet" glue lines visible beneath wall covering; 2 vents damaged (1 fixed twice); oven door came off; audio problems; wood bench at kitchen table totally came apart; hardware at door came off; black tank leaking; hole in bathroom floor to the outdoors; leaks in both bathroom and kitchen sinks; interior slide doors out of track and screws pulled out of wall (twice); gaps in window screens that bugs come in. That's a lot, but there's more. It's just my husband and me-no kids, no pets. This is a hunk of junk that just keeps racking up the problems, and efforts to reach out to Grand Design, with photos, are pointless. We've fixed most of the problems ourselves while traveling. If Florida's lemon laws applied to RV's, I would be suing Grand Design.

We just purchased this RV in April. I absolutely love it. Grand Design are so helpful. We did has a small issue with our slide, but Grand Design stepped in and got it fixed under warranty right away. I love my floor plan, I have a ton of storage, a kitchen island, a real kitchen table and chairs, 40in TV, DVD player, and radio system that plays in doors and also outdoors or you can choose one or the other. It has reclinering theater seats. It also has a real queen sized bed. Not a RV sized bed. It has a hug roomy shower. It also has a spot for a washer and separate dryer. A walk in type closet in bedroom. It has lots of storage under as well. This floor plan has 3 slides, so it is so roomy it doesn't feel like a travel trailer, but more like a tiny one bedroom house. I highly recommend this travel trailer. Grand design makes there trailers with high quality materials. All the cabinet are wood faced. You wont go wrong with Grand Design
