We love our 297! It is extremely comfortable and spacious, from the multitude of large windows with the heated, massage recliners in the livingroom to the queen size traditional mattress in the bedroom. On cold mornings it is wonderful to make a cup of coffee or tea and sit in front of the fireplace as you plan out our day. Of course, if you prefer, you can just turn up the heat to feel warm and toasty throughout the unit. The kitchen has everything you need! Plenty of counterspace with a large sink with gooseneck faucet and sprayer is adequate for anything you want to wash or prep. We travel for weeks at a time and have adequate space in the refrigerator, freezer and cabinets for all of our meals. The indoor stove/oven and the outdoor propane stove are very convenient. The microwave/convection oven is fabulous for preparing quick meals. There are also a lot of electric outlets for any convenience appliances you use. The wood dining table and 4 separate chairs are very comfortable and can be used in the living room or outside when you have a lot of guests to seat. Both the table and two of the chairs have smaller spaces for storage. The bathroom is spacious and there is plenty of storage for towels, personal products and cleaners. The glass shower doors are easy to clean and make the space feel open. Sitting outside surrounded by nature under the awning watching sports or movies on the TV, or listening to music from the outdoor speakers with drinks in the small refrigerator just a couple feet away is incredibly relaxing. The basement passthrough holds a lot of equipment and is easy to access.

Grand Design advertises a four-season trailer with a dedicated heat duct in the fully-enclosed insulated underbelly. During a camping trip, daytime temperatures were in the 50s and during the night temperatures dropped into the upper 20s. That night our water froze in the bathroom (shower, lavatory and commode) with the furnace running and maintaining a temp around 70 in the camper. Contacted Grand Design and was told that their advertised information would not be honored. Their customer service is a joke. The managers are not knowledgeable about their products but have numerous lame excuses why they won't admit a possible error during manufacturing my rv. Do not buy a Grand Design product!

I have a 2018 Grand Design 2800BH and have been dealing with a delaminating wall issue since early 2020.I have had to deal with a few different people at Grand Design and have not found a suitable option to fix this issue. The option for us to get the unit to them on our cost is not good enough, I need someone there to help come up with better option to fix this that doesn't cost me over$6000 in shipping charges alone. The wall is now delaminating all the way down from the top corner down to the bottom, to the point where I can push on the loose fiberglass and clearly see it moving from the glue letting go and I and now scared to even use the RV or pull it anywhere for fear it may get worse and worse as we drive. This wall issue has caused so much stress for us and has really taken the joy and excitement out of the camping and RV owning experience, I cannot afford to ship it to you, I cannot sell or even trade the trailer in the way it is and now don't want to use it for risk of the wall delamination getting worse. I assumed that Grand Design set out to build quality rv's and that's why we chose Grand Design and we love this trailer but I really need you guys to help me make this right. The wall should not be coming apart after minimal use. I am hoping there are some options we can agree upon. I know Grand Design is known for top notch service which was a huge deciding factor for us and we want to be able to rant and rave about the amazing service and products from grand design but we really need some help on repairing this issue.

Wife and I have been living in the trailer as we travel the country for the past 3 years. Pros: We’re happy with the space, comfort and livability. We like the floor plan and the kitchen work space is efficient. It’s surprising how much stuff we have stored in here. The trailer pulls fine and is easy to manage the maintenance. We’ve spent weeks at higher elevations where temperatures got in the 20’s overnight. No problems with freezing using the propane furnace. Annual maintenance service has been great. We had one repair after an inattentive driver bumped the back and poked a hole in the outer wall. Dealer promptly fixed it—replaced the back wall with an improved version and they had it back to us the next day. Cons: our exterior black water valve stuck open / was hard to close, so I ended up replacing it. The grey water valves work fine. We have trouble raising and lowering the dining table for the bed when our grandkids stay overnight — but that could just be our problem and not a flaw.
