2017 Keystone Cougar Travel Trailer reviews

We love the layout of this RV, but we have had nothing but problems with the slideouts, and leaking over the front door. There have been other minor issues that we have been able to deal with and our warranty covered. But the slideouts apparently aren't covered by our warranty and we have an estimate of $7,500 to repair them. We talked to the makers of the slideout mechanism, and they say that the manufacturers were using hollow slideout rails and were told not to after a certain point. We also found out our walls are separating somehow. We take THE BEST care of our trailer. We park it inside. It is well maintained. There are only 2 of us, no kids, and we aren't heavy people. These things shouldn't be happening. I'm trying to get Keystone to help, but so far they have told us no. I will keep pushing! I would not recommend this model to anyone. Show less

Very nice, comfortable and roomy! This unit is perfect for extended living for a couple or individual, or a weekend at the lake. Plenty of storage, heated underbelly is great for all weather. Automatic leveling makes setting up a breeze. My husband and I loved it! Show less

This is a very nice unit, we bought it for its roominess and livability. It has 3 slides and a large open floor plan with an island in the kitchen. There's a large corner shower and a lot of storage in the bathroom. And we added a lift to the commode for ease of use. The bedroom has a RV king mattress and the closet extends across the whole width of the front end. This unit is also equipped a polar package for all whether use, and automatic leveling jacks for ease of set up. We've added a second a/c unit. And had all 3 slides adjusted and new guides added to both rear slides. It has 5 new Goodyear tires with less than 500 miles. We recently had the entire unit gone through and serviced by Lewis RV's Service Dept. in OKC. She's ready to go on the road... Show less

This unit has apposing slides in living area making it very roomy with an open floor plan. And it also has a bedroom slide which makes it great for long term stays or even possible extended living. It has auto leveling for ease of setup. This is a very nice and very clean unit. All equipment and appliances work great! Show less

Bought new, several things broke after a few uses. Cheap wood, screws pulling out of cabinets doors, missing and broken parts, broken kitchen exhaust, Santiflush stopped working to name a few. Poor quality, cheapest materials, very poor workmanship. Uncomfortable couches and chairs, bad living room lay out. Don’t walk away. Run! Show less

This is my first camper, and it was a breeze to use and learn how to use. I would recommend to anyone. The layout is perfect for my 4 person family, the size is easy to tow and is easy to keep tidy. King size bed is great with so much storage! Show less

Our maiden voyage. Went from Redding to the Grand Canyon then to State parks like Arches. A/C didn't work, Electric hitch failed, Walls inside trailer fell off. Warranty fixing but will trade it in for another one, not Keystone. We had our grandkids with us and they were just miserable in the bunkbeds. The original trip was going to be 21 days...Lasted just 8 days with 4 days in a motel. No more Keystone products for me. Show less

After months of research and looking, we decided on the 2017 21ft cougar. We loved the floor plan, especially the king bed. It is roomy, comfortable and tows nicely. Even in a hard rain and downpour, the cougar was quite comfortable. The dealership was actually just down the street from us. We appreciated the salesman knowledge and his outstanding professionalism. All our questions, concerns etc were more than Answered. Love our cougar! Show less

We bought our 33RES Keystone Cougar from Camping World and have had a great experience with it! The king size bed is so nice. In the heat of summer, the dual a/c would freeze you out if you so desired. At 7780, dry weight, our F-150 Ford Ecoboost had no problems pulling the trailer. I would recommend investing in 10 ply tires to eliminate any sway. Once we had the tires installed, it pulled with ease. We get about 10 mpg on the road. The exterior is asthetically appealing to the eye. In the interior, it is a beautiful design. The arched roof eliminates the closed in feeling found on some flat roof interior designs. In the kitchen, you will find a spacious refrigerator and functional island. The fireplace and entertainment system is placed at the end of the travel trailer so you want be distracted by people walking in front of it. The design is well thought out and practical. The only mild criticisms would be that the shower is a bit small and the outside wiring is antenna ready, but not cable ready. Overall, I would recommend the Keystone Cougar 33RES to anybody!!!
