BUYER BEWARE OF THE LISTING IN MELBOURNE FLORIDA!!!! I booked my flight from TX to FL to go by this 5th wheel. He initially listed it for sale 4yrs ago. He was going to give me his banks routing# to wire the money but I wanted to go there and see it 1st. He made all kinds of excuses after I told him my flight was booked and said he has another buyer even though he told me he would give me his word to not sell it since I was booking a flight. Now I'm out the $300 I spent on the nonrefundable flight!!!! He also said he didn't have time to take it to an rv Park and hook it up so that I could see that everything worked.

My husband worked out on the road for three years doing contract work. Moved it many times. Did not have any trouble with it. We carry Good Sam Insurance and have used it a few times. Very happy with the results. If you are needing to live in one full time, this works out great. Really a nicely arranged trailer with the large bathroom and extra one off the kitchen. Big refrigerator and cozy fireplace in the living room. Very steady with the 6 hydraulic jacks that level. You don’t feel it move as you walk inside.

Slide out with the side in it has been repaired TWICE. Right side jack sinks, re level weekly. Fireplace burned up. Selector valve let’s water into fresh water tank when on city water. Drain weekly. Rubber flap does not deploy on one slide, whenever slide is opened have to get on roof and flip it out by hand. Wrinkles in bedroom carpet. Bedroom outlet pulled out of wall. Ceiling molding fell on floor. One piece. Chipboard under mattress is too thin, sags. fridge will only freeze ice in trays when set on 9. Heartland says out of warranty. I am the second owner and bought this from my neighbor. He bought it new and lived in it for 6 months. It sat for a year then I bought it. Neighbor has moved away.

We Love our Big Country 4010RD very much, We bought it New, Picked it up 3 Weeks after it was built. We did have some Issues, about 13 factory defaults within our first year. Heartland did a great job with assisting us with all of them. Sent parts to me and also to the dealers who worked on our RV. We feel that they need to improve the fireplace, we and many other RVers we encountered went through multiple fireplaces. I also feel that they should give a 2 year warranty and not just a one year. One of my big complaints about the building of this 4010RD is that I do not agree that they put a large A/C unit on the front that makes the height 13'6" the max any RV can be. They should put a Low Profile A/C on all that would be close to 13'6".. That would give us maybe 6 inches lower clearance then we are now. I do think that the builders need to be a little more focused on paying attention to details. Another design flaw is the sewer drain, it is to low to the ground, I had to get mine lifted about 6 inches, I almost broke mine off, it was about 5 inches off the ground. Also almost 90% of the screws in our RV were not put in straight. More Quality control in the building of Heartland campers. We are on our third year and have broken in our RV, we have had very little problems now, like moldings coming loose, LED lights going out. plastic part on windows are breaking off. Need to make these part metal especially being Full time RVs. I would have made some requests if I were to buy new again, A/C would have been replaced with a low profile A/C. The Tires would be G rated tires like the ones we have, Sailun tires, they are great tires. Have had no issues with them. Make sure all lights in and out are all LED.
