Our 2017 Forest River Sandpiper 377FLIK 5th wheel is wonderful! It tows like it's not even there, the auto leveler is great & easy to work. The inside is beautiful & so comfortable & roomy. The upgraded refrigerator is beautiful & all the excess storage is so great to have. I found a place for everything we needed to bring along...plus some things we could have left home. This is a wonderful 5th wheel to camp part time for vacations & for full-time campers.

As the owner of a 2017 Forest River Cardinal Estate, aka the lemon, I am beyond frustrated. We purchased the unit, new , in July of 2017. Our maiden voyage the shower doors smashed into smithereens due to poor installation. We paid to have them fixed/replaced on site. Our rear windows were falling out, thanks to tape we got them home. Second trip, the roof peeled back. Third trip major crack bedroom slide. Last year we parked at a seasonal site. This year again, seasonal site. Now we have another crack on the same side as the first, bit Between the other slide and side rear window . Forest River/ Cardinal did help with the previous issues, but not now. With all the issues we have had, I truly believe these problems are due to manufacturing/quality control issues. I worry about the structural integrity of this unit. Any advice / suggestions would be appreciated.

It is a high quality camper. The layout is comfortable and very functional. There is ample storage inside the unit as well as in the pass through compartment underneath. Lighting is good. The bathroom has enough room to be comfortable with a roomy shower that has a nice built in bench. I would definitely purchase this unit again if I could find one. Mine was destroyed in June by a windstorm. The only complaint I had was with the island in the kitchen area. It takes up a little too much room but is not a big issue. I was a happy camper!

We finally got RV the belly pan was hanging, got charged warranty to fix, they came three times to fix flap on toilet, OUR AIR CONDITIONING HAS NEVER WORKED. HAD ABOUT 6 REPAIR PEOPLE COME OUT NEVER REPAIRED< ALL WE ENDED UP WITH IS CEILING MARKS WHERE THE BRACES ARE AND THE SCREWS OR NAIILS SHOW UP>DUE to worker stomping on roof. WE HAD PRIVATE REPAIRMAN FIX ALL AROUND WINDOWS AND ROOF MARKS> . Also the back skin has been wrinkling more every year, also other places now too.. the recliner chairs were replaced in 2 years then again WE FINALLY BOUGHT OUR OWN chairs. NEVER BUY FROM FORREST RIVER , or if YOU GET A SANPIPER> PUKES O'CONNERS for not standing up to dealers warranties

We bought this RV new and it was our first 5th Wheel. We especially liked the large closet, round shower, large refrigerator/freezer, and great storage. One thing we noticed with Rockwood was a lot of things that are extra in other RVs was standard in ours. For example, ceiling fan in living room area, two fantastic fans in bathroom and kitchen area, solar equipped, electric/propane water heater, lazy boy recliners, and a rear carrier are just some of the extras. I really liked the Reese revolution hitch that rotated at the trailer instead of the fifth wheel. I have a short bed truck and can make 90 degree turns without ever worrying about hitting my truck with the trailer. I upgraded the tires because the factory tires are not rated for speeds over 60 mph. It is a great trailer but our health has reached the point that we can't travel in an RV any longer. But I would highly recommend this fifth wheel. I have talked to very few RVers who have found a great dealer to maintain their rig although I kept looking. A lot of things can be fixed yourself if you have any mechanical knowledge. Good luck on your RV adventure and we wish all of you the wonderful time we have had with ours.

We bought the unit off the show room floor in June of 2016. The dealer sold us on a life time warranty. when we looked at the unit one of the recliners was in the up position, the sales rep. repeatedly pushed it down till it locked in place. Well on our maiden journey the recliners foot rest popped up and when we extended the slid outs the foot rest on the chair caught the framing on the slide out and ripped it off, we found out the release was bad, second when we hooked up the water line we found out the ice maker water line was not connected properly and flooded the floor soaking the carpet and vinyl, we called the dealer to get a service tech come and fix the problems, but we were told that we would have to bring the unit to them since they don't have an outside tech. when we took it to get serviced they pulled the frig out to connect the line scratching the floor, well apparently the tech must have got distracted be cause he failed to plug the unit back in, screw the tie bars back down that hold the frig in place so when we pick up our camper and transported it the frig slid out luckily the slide prevented it from moving to far. With the life time warranty you have need to bring the unit back to the dealer ship every year so the can do a full inspection on the unit which usually cost in the neighborhood of $500.00 dollars. The second year that we had our unit the material on chairs started to peel when we contacted the dealer we were told that was not covered in our warranty. Then we contacted Cedar Creek and were told that certain years had problems with the material, they said they would send us the material and we could have them reupholstered. NOT! since then we have had problems with the grey and black tank valves getting stuck which were replaced under warranty. we had to have our air conditioner replaced that was another struggle with the warranty, our refrigerator fan motor went out. Our dealer told use it was not covered under our warranty because it is a residential unit. We contacted the insurance company direct and got the motor replaced at some cost to us, now the ice maker isn't working and we're getting the same response from the dealer that it is not covered by the warranty because it's a residential frig. Now they are telling us that our roof is in bad shape and eventually is going to have to be replaced and is note covered under our warranty. We've have had this unit serviced and inspected every year for four years and now they telling me this. they said it was do to neglect. we have had our unit cleaned every year by a professional and stored under a pole barn when note in use. Dose anyone else have these problems?

Overall, we love our Wolf. The layout is great. And even with two dogs and a couple of grandkids along, there's ample living space. But there have been issues, related mainly to inferior workmanship and virtually no quality control. The problems have included: - interior trim pieces coming loose or even falling off; - a recuring leak in the right front corner; - improperly sized/positioned awning that allows rain to fall on the door entry steps. (BTW - Forest River's response to that was "the awning is not intended to be used when it rains." How utterly ludicrous !) - very poorly made pantry drawers that fell apart (I completely rebuilt the pantry area); - cheap and very ugly "garden gate latches" used on the storage area behind the TV (rebuilt that area too) - a rat's nest of wires and tubing in the mechanical compartment behind the "basement." That mess of wires and tubing should have been bundled and properly routed/anchored. Lazy "workmanship" such as that should never have passed quality control - had there been any.
