Was very easy to start using this motor home for traveling. I was able to handle it well and there are nice storage areas and electronic controls. The awning is push button as is both the 2 slides. This makes their setup very simple. The space is useable with the slides out or even with them in if you are taking it across the country and want to stop in rest areas. With a U-Haul style tow dolly it is very easy to tow a smaller vehicle to use for work. There were some issues that I had to figure out or take to the shop to find out where certain buttons were. I don't find the books that came with the vehicle to be informative enough. I needed to go to the shop to find the second black valve. I also had to pay for a mobile technician to show me where the reset button is located under the bed. I thought the antennae was broken because of items shifting in the cupboard shutting off the antennae. I have been the only owner. The only down side for me has been leaks which have all been repaired. The water tends to run down the side and leaks have been around the lights. A seal test was completed in February. You will be able to see the places where leaks have occurred and where repairs have been made. There is no structural damage. The awning does have professionally applied tape secondary to surviving a hail storm in South Dakota.

It would be ok if the manufacturer wouldn't skimp on interior trim. Had to take it in to get the draw rails in the bedroom draws reattached. They did a crap job. Ended up repairing them myself. Come on Thor. One small screw on rail brackets won't do it. Do not like cheap paper trim on cheap particle board. Battery cage is open and not protected from road debris. Lost both batteries from rocks. This caused the 12 power converter to burn out. Couldn't operate the slide outs or use interior lights. Fortunately, still had 110 volt. It's just made cheap. Total cost for the batteries and converter, 735.00. Not a happy camper...

We are in our seventies and you have to be a contortionist to get into or get out of this bed. Other than the bed everything else is fine. Is there anyway to scrap that bed and install something that you can actually use. I wish I had my Roadtrek back.

In the 1st year we had replaced under warranty: water pump, DVD player, microwave, stove (2), and the mattress (2).They repaired both the cab and the RV air conditioner. Screw heads broke off. After visiting the dealer several times, we had to travel to Elkhart to have the manufacturer fix more things. All the so-called beds are uncomfortable. The cab is noisy. The TV can't be used when it is raining since the sound is poor. No storage for silverware other than the oven. The shower goes to the black tank instead of the gray tank. Overall poor design and extremely poor quality.

Thor originally promised to fix everything but is now backing out. If you have had similar problems, please contact me asap. I spent way too much money on a new unit to have it fall apart. I have have heard that many folk have issues. This should not happen!

WARNING! Watch out for any rv that is manufactured from the mean Vikinging "thor" who hassled you even though your RV is under warranty. Get ready this is a long story. We brought this unit December of last year to take with us on mission trips to spread the Good News of the Kingdom of GOD to the places God revealed to us: Valparasio,FL New Orleans,LA Birmingham,AL Montgomery,AL Roberstadale,AL Calera,AL and Dothan,Alabama and in each of these cities we traveled to we could'nt focus to do missions work without runing into CHEAP,RUDE,NASTY, KKK KLAN Behaviour type of people and inexperienced amateurs that are supposed to fix your problems but instead make it worse for example: we were driving through the rain in Robertsdale,AL when we saw a pool of water that was everywhere so much that a baby duck could swim in the puddle! We had to use most of our: clotes, blankets, and towels to absorb the water. The next day we made an appointment for the dealer to fix the leak first thing they asked us where did you buy it from ? After we fought them off to have the leak on the left wall sealed, they did a sloppy joe job on it.Because on our way heading to Dothan,AL NOW BOTH THE LEFT AND RIGHT WALL WERE GUSHING IN WATER! Next,we CALLED someone from Thor corporate they sent Jeff Cox to "seal" the leaks he just spayed a can of foam and the leak STILL persisted.Afterward we had to take a trip to the dealer where we originally bought it from to have it fixed no more leaks from the floor but now then the back bedroom window water gushed in when it rains we had to get some supplies to fix that ourselves at a LOWE'S hardware store. Now the problems were having now is drawer won't close, the generator fumes get in the unit, and the chasiss floor gets so hot we went to three RV fords dealerships to have it fixed and they did'nt do anything they Just took a look at it and sent us home. They just don't build rv's like they used to no more.So the best thing to do is PUSUE THE LEMON LAW FOR RV'S FOLKS!

I bought my first RV a Thor Motorcoach Freedom Elite 23h over at Denver Camping World in August of 2015 and drove it back home with my wife and dogs to NY and the first problem I noticed was a missing mud flap (passenger side) and loose bracket (drivers side) on another mud flap. I chalked that up as shoddy workmanship. But after the next year and a half we had many other problems like cracked and bolts missing on rear plastic storage compartment as well as water leakage under rear mattress. Also flickering rear LED light and broken antenna crank handle (just popped apart). At this point we were out of warranty and my dealership tech said that our Good Sam would not cover anything! So I called Thor Motor Coach and they agreed to pay $1,100 on my $1,600 bill. I have to at least give some credit back to Thor for making this bad experience a better one BUT I am very suspicious now that I really see the inner working parts of my RV. The 450 Ford Triton V-10 engine is flawless and smooth shifting and very powerful. Love the fact I have and 8000 lb. towing capacity. Wishlist: auto leveling jacks, Slide out on living area and that's about it. We put about 18,800 miles on our RV took her out to Glacier National Park in Montana last summer and she ran like a dream. Maybe just some over heating of brakes but we drove almost 7000 miles in 17 days so that was a little bit of a stretch and also gas mileage is very good. If I had to buy a new RV I would go with a 29 ft. and have slide outs on one side and rear sleeping area (King size bed for sure). Happy trails! Rob Z. Blauvelt, NY l

Bought new. When picking up the unit. During walk thru. The exterior tv wouldnt turn on and in dash radio was streaky. They put another tv on it before i left. Scheduled to install new radio. While waiting the drawer uner the stove started droppin bearings from the drawer glide. Scheduled to install with the new radio. Went dry camping. Battery died into one day while running the generator most of the time. Dealership said it was a unsealed exterior plug that water was getting into. They Silicine sealed. The battery still was going dead. They said it was the battery. New battery. Did not put in store only to see if drain was severe. Lasted one day then dead. Called dealership. They said. You have to hit store. But it was less than 24 hours and only propane sensor and antena booster were on. Asked dealership if it could be the Converter. They asked me where the converter was on that thing anyway. Not my first motorhome. I am not naive to how they function. The dealership and this Thot Freedom are junk!
