Solar setup is great and can last several days without sunshine with the Tesla battery system. I love it!

After only five trips the screws to the bathroom door all fell out leaving the door on the floor. Gas mode on refrigerator does not work. Battery only lasted one year. Kitchen window fails to stay open. This was not a cheap purchase, for what this unit cost it should have been something of quality instead of junk. Really poor workmanship and quality control.

We purchased a 3 year old Lance 1995 from a dealership who had taken it in on a trade-in for a larger unit. We saw it prior to the shop going over it and it was very clean and obviously not used much plus it had orginally been purchased at the same dealership. This assured us in that the product and dealership had return customers and that it had been well taken care of. The high cost for Lance is touted to be due to it being a far superior product. Fast forward several months and we find that both the fan over the bed AND the skylight in the bathroom are leaking. We are then told by the dealership that this is a “known” issue with Lance and 4 season only means the undercarriage. We are not new to RVs and have over many years had many different rigs. We have NEVER had an issue of leakage like this (around the inside seal, it is full of water), especially on a unit only 3 years old. Be warned. Lance is not the “Quality” they tout and at least this dealership knows it.

I saved all my life to buy a new camper and I thought Lance was one of the top of the line. It started with poor service at the dealer and has become a nightmare ever since. I'll go down the list of things that broke. First the rear left Jack did not work properly took it in twice for repair was told there was nothing wrong with it it's still ratchets and does not work properly to this day next trip out the molding around the stove fell off the molding around the slide out started falling off I took it in for warranty they used in air nailer and left holes in the trim .the awning broke on the slide out the RV lock broke after 2 years and have to be replaced the first time I use the outside shower the lines blew off and sprayed water everywhere in that compartment. After 2 years the decals are falling off. The inside sliding garbage can fell apart and needs to be replaced. One of the window blinds fell apart the shelf above the sink fell off. I've had problems with two or three of the doors not closing properly. The exterior door has never worked right it has to be slammed real hard in order to close. CO2 smoke detector failed after 2 years. The carpet is fraying and starting to come loose in different parts around the slide out in floor the kitchen faucet broke I replaced it twice it had the same problem. The quality control of the Lance camper is definitely subpar they look good but they fall apart fast. I would stay away from Lance until they get a handle on their quality control

We purchased our Lance 2285 in July 2016. This is the first travel trailer we have ever owned and we did a LOT of research prior to making our purchase. We also read a lot of reviews which I think are very helpful. I give the overall Lance experience a strong "B" I had higher expectations based on the price and quality reputation. The positives seem to be common among owners. The low profile and tandem axle pulls smoothly. Storage is also a plus with large outside storage compartments up front and in the slide. Fit and finish inside are high quality. The negative has been the leaks, which appear to be a common complaint among Owner reviews. Our shower leaked from day one which turned out to be a broken fitting from the factory. Our bedroom roof vent leaked with the first big rain storm to the point we had to cancel our trip. We have also had problems with our Atwood water heater but I don't hold Lance responsible for appliances. An electrical socket broke but Lance sent me a new one ASAP. Overall, I think all trailers, regardless of price are going to have issues, especially when you think about the amount of vibration they endure going down the highway 65 MPH. On a scale of 1-5 with 5 being the best I give Lance a 4.

We bought a 2016 Lance and I believe that by the time we bought our trailer the so-called Lance quality had disappeared. Shortly after the one-year warranty expired, our refrigerator went out. Then we got rain leaking into our skylight, into the top of our slide out, and into a front storage compartment. We also learned that the front window was a bad design and they’ve had to make a replacement for it. Our door locks do not properly work allowing the door to open while driving. Now our trailer brakes have failed!
