Poor workmanship. First year I had to replace the air conditioner and the water pump. The wiring and external antenna has never worked. I would never recommend this rv to anybody. Should have stuck with a Montana like I had before.... read more

We really like the layout and the options this camper has. However the quality of craftmenship is very poor. Fist time the slide went out a loose screw tore the flooring. First camping trip the gray water tank leaked and one light didn't work. Took it in to have it fixed next trip same problem. Finally fixed it myself. Next trip out the range hood fell down on one corner. Draw under stove came apart. Since then I have found several screw missing the radio falls out and second year out the a/c doesn't work. Not at all happy with the quality.

Overall I have had a good experience with Heartland, but the tires they put on their Elkridge are unsafe. In the first year I have two of the tires blowout, and a third go flat due to a crack in the sidewall. The tires are Towmax. I heghly recommend you get your dealer to replace them before you buy a Heartland fifth wheel. There are many negative reviews of these tires at https://www.safercar.gov/
