2016 Coachmen Mirada Class A - Gas reviews

Love this Coach! Our model is a 2016 35LS and it is very spacious and user friendly. The sofa area is spacious and looks directly at the large tv and fireplace (hard to find in any coach). It has incredible storage spaces both inside and underneath. Factory AC's (2) keep this RV cold even during Florida summer heat. 1-1/2 baths is great and the rear master bath/shower is huge. We haven't had any issues with fit & trim, in or out and the only repair made to date has been to replace the automatic entry stair motor. I was surprised how well it drives even without any upgrades or changes to steering, sway bars etc. I can drive it easily on the highway and it doesn't wear you out. Very seldom does a passing truck move it, she just puts her head down and we cruise. Highly recommend this coach. Show less

Where do I start..... My family and i upgraded to this model from a travel trailer. We wanted easier setup and the ability to have the entire family together as we traveled. This coach was essentially new (prior owner did 3k miles and turned it in) and came with the factory warranty. We are in year 5 now and i have replaced the following due to failure: 3 AC's Refrigerator Water Heater Water pump Bunk motors P-trap in the shower Shower mixer Bathroom fan All batteries three times All of the "Leather" seat coverings I also replaced the radio head unit and the speakers because they were of such poor quality. In addition to things just breaking, the coach is riddled with things that have to be tweaked in order to get them to work. The bunk slide down has to be reprogrammed every time you use it. The dealer replaced the motors and the computer twice and it still doesn't work correctly so I gave up. The bedroom slide has to go out half way, then back in, and then back out in order to get it where it needs to be. The surface of the seats literally disintegrated within two years. Coachman said they were defective and their solution was to sell us the new fabric at cost since we were out of warranty. The heater is completely pointless as it blows 95% of the hot air out of the one vent in the bedroom. It becomes an oven in 5 minutes and the rest of the coach is freezing. The Gelcoat on both sides completely oxidized after just three years. Yes it was parked outside in the sun but it should last longer than that. There are other nuances but you get the idea. The biggest issue i have is the drive-ability. I get i'm driving a box truck with a house on top down the highway, but this is bad. It shakes, rattles, vibrates, and get pushed all over the place by any vehicle bigger than a truck. Its incredibly loud due to the engine so having normal conversation isn't pleasant. I added Sumo Shocks, new tires, stabilizer bar, trac bar, and sound deadening mats all of which helped but nothing eliminated the excessive shaking at highway speeds. If i put a cup in the cupholder it would bounce every ounce of liquid out and then throw the cup at you. It's that bad. With all that said, i'm a contractor and a very mechanical person so i am able to do most upgrades and repairs myself so the financial hit hasn't been as bad. The floorplan is really good for my family and now that everything has been upgraded or replaced, once its parked it does a decent job. We are currently looking to upgrade to a diesel pusher and i wont even consider a Coachman product or any made by their family of brands. Maybe i got a lemon or maybe they are all that way. I purchased the Mirada in February of 2017. Where as we have only taken a couple short trips, we are living in it since then and about to hit the open road! Love the floor plan but it is a little tight when the pop-outs are brought in but who needs the back of the coach when you are rolling? Like the 2 bathrooms and I was happy to find out it has a heated basement when the propane is going upstairs! This is my 3rd Class A since 1993. This 2016 Coachman drives like a car! A nice car as it is very smooth with the Ford V10 and excellent suspension. Corners very well. Show less

I completely agree with the prior reviews. I wish I had found this website before I purchased my unit in March 2017. It has been in the shop more than it has been on the road. Great floor plan but the fit and finish work absolutely sucks. Misaligned cabinet doors; slides failure to deploy correctly; completely stupid design features like black water tank discharge design; coach fuse box impossible to get too; refrigerator runs all the time consuming rediculous amounts of house power; stupid location of inverter/power readout. Love the floor plan. That's about it. Dealer has acknowledged the manufacturing process is crap. give me back my 2000 Winnebago Adventurer Show less

The problem we are experiences is the slide make noise when riding along it gets really loud and make a rubbing noise up behind the driver seat. We told by a warranty manager to drive it back to Indiana to have a tech to look at it Show less

Love the floor plan, that's about the only good thing I can say about this coach. This is the 3rd time it's been in the shop. It has been in for 72 days. The truck AC doesn't work, ice maker pours water, has an electrical problem that has blown out the TV's, fireplace, inverter, and who knows what else. Storage unit has pulled away from side of coach, awning has pulled away from roller and it's hard to keep on the road. You would think after 72 days they would have at least gotten the fridge fixed. Nope, and it does no good to contact Forest River. Run away from Forest River products. Show less

I saw the other review and I feel for that guy. I've only had this since November of last year but we take it out allot and so far no major issues as of yet. I love this coach and so does my family. Only suggestion for the manufacture if they even check these forums is to make the kitchen table bed bigger so an average adult can sleep there. Other than that we LOVE this coach! Show less

This was our first RV my wife and I bought it as a starter and go full time in it. After driving it off the lot and setting up at our house for the first time the water pump stopped working. we took it back and got that fixed got it home ad set it up and again the water pump would not work there was a short some where in the coach. So we learned that we could only live at water hookup sites. Next every time we moved the coach got off shore power and then moved to a new site and plugged back in at least 4 fuzes had to be replaced. As another stated windows only open 4 inches. The last straw was the loss of furnace Just when the temp drops we lose heat. There have been so many problem with this coach I would not recommend it to anyone. cabin light on the slide will not work, the rear cable and guard for the living room slide will not stay on, Hot water heater only gets Luke warm even with both the electric and gas turned on never had a hot shower in 3 months of ownership. both slides stop in the middle of movement you have to reverse the direction your moving weather in or out and then restart the slide. Storage light have not gone out and no way to get them to turn back on. There is no way that we could dry camp with this coach with no water pump. I would never recommend this coach to anyone the workmanship is VERY crude you can see where the builders used wood putty over the wall paper to cover up the finishing nail holes. Walls are so flimsy you might fall through if you accidentally lean on them. Nate from Coachman was very good in working with us however there is nothing that can be done we bought this to live in it full time and we can't, how can we if it is in the shop for electrical repairs where are we suppose to live?
