Junk, Junk,Junk!!! My wife and I bought this in November 2021 from the original owners with only 14,000 miles on it in excellent condition. However. Something breaks on it almost on a daily basis and we have been living in it since we bought it. Only driving it from Colorado to Florida permanently. That’s the only driving we’ve done with it. There is such a large list of things that have gone wrong with it (and we have been babying it) that I warn you. Do Not Buy a Thor Challenger series. This thing is so poorly built that we can’t even keep up with things that keep simply just fall apart on it due to the junky build and quality of the materials used. I watched a video of this exact model where a Thor representative states this is their top of the line model. WOW!!!

The purchase of this Hurricane by Thor Motor Coach was a nightmare. There were several major issues that were never fixed. 1. The jacks were a problem from the beginning. They never worked in Automatic except for 2 times. 2. The Coach leaked. One time it was so bad I couldn't even drive in it. There was so much water coming in I had to stop. 3. The slide became a problem shortly after the warranty expired. It never did work properly with any consistency after the warranty expired. 4. The "leather" seats started peeling after 3 years. 2 years after the warranty expired. 5. After only 3 years the skin of the exterior started fading. Within 4 years the outside of this Coach looked liked it was 20 years old. The way I understand our Coach was one of the 1st ones built for 2015. Evidently there was some problem with the Clearcoat process with the 1st roll of fiberglass used to make this piece of junk. Both my dealer and myself worked with Thor to try to get some satisfaction with these issues. Basically they just gave us the runaround. They wasted a bunch of our time and did nothing. One might ask why wasn't the dealer able to fix some of the issues. The dealer bent over backwards to try to fix the 1st 3 items listed. Even after the warranty expired they worked on it and didn't charge us for it. The dealer also spent a lot of time trying to get Thor to address the 4th and 5th items listed. I personally spent a fair amount of time trying to get the customer service department to do something to rectify the situation. It was a waste of time. Our dealer, God Bless him, tried to do what he could to fix the problems. The bottom line is that this Coach is a piece of junk. Very poorly manufactured by a company that just doesn't care about what kind of junk they sell. Thor's customer service is non existent. I've recently sold this piece of junk for a very large loss. When I replace it, nothing made by Thor will be considered.

It has been a few years since my last post and I would like to give an update. Here it is: First it came with an after market Safe T plus rv steering stabilizer which makes it drive as good as my Chevy Silverado. I don't feel any trucks or wind (no bare knuckle driving which is great). I put a small piece of white tape on the front windshield to indicate where I am in the lane and that is all). I can drive with one hand and coffee/soda in the other. The Michelin tires that came with it had tire separation at 5 years and 15,000 miles that is probably why they don't offer that particular one anymore. It had great 10 mpg. I replaced it a softer Toyo tires which gets 1 less mpg but we can now better talk to each other and listen to the satellite radio (after market). We changed the house batteries also at 5 years with 100 ah AGMs. Mainly because the factory charger is also designed to work with AGMs and I can jumper connect to charge a 26ah AGM power pack (for remote cell charging and listing to same detached satellite radio) from a 12 volt socket connector from the batteries below. At 6 years the door lock broke (cast iron door pull broke and had to use needle nose pliers and clamp tight with vice grips to pull hard to open the door so I could replace the handle). We now carry our 500 watts of solar panels on my hitch carrier along with two mountain bikes and the body of a bike trailer for the dogs. We carry two 84 watt evap coolers (one on each side of the bed) and a table I made for sitting one of the coolers at the passenger window and an outside shade screen for the front window and inside solar sun screens on all windows during hot temperatures (especially needed when it gets over 110 degrees). The other cooler goes in our 9'x9' pop up canopy we carry in the back compartment. 90 percent of the time we boondock in national parks so we can use our 50% off senior pass. Typically now $10 to $12.50 a night. (I remember when it was $6). We changed out the Lead acid battery under the L shape couch to a 100ah LiFePo4 battery/1100 watt power inverter (cut the board on the L shape to get better access to the inverter and charge controller also under the couch) and carry along a 300 watt griddle and a 600 watt microwave when we boondock. (Generator use has restricted hours so carrying an smaller microwave comes in real handy). We have evolved over the years and we really love our 2015 Vegas 25.2. (My last RV was a 27 foot 1967 Dodge motorhome and this one's size really reminds me of it).

Nice comfortable queen bed, great shower, plenty of cooking space and appliances and super AC and heat options. It's also a pleasure to drive. The vinyl on the chairs, and couch could be of better quality but they are nice. I prefer sitting on cloth so we cover it with a sheet. Very pleased with my Thor
