Would not recommend Forest River to my worst enemy.i have had nothing but problems with this trailer since purchase in 2015; This is not my first review, however last June one of the windows in the slider literally exploded into a million pieces . When we returned from our holidays took it to be replaced along with a few other problems. Forest River discontinued that design and the windows are not available. Apparently the windows have to be custom made at a cost of $2000. 00. It is now The middle of February and still no windows. So after market sales Forest River just takes the money and run. I have spent so much in the last 9 years I cannot do anything with this trailer

The worst trailer we have purchased fist trip out the water tank dropped on to the axel. Manufacture told me to take it to the dealer we were in the States at the time. That was only the beginning of the problems. Every time we took it out something went wrong. I have replaced every possible screw with hollow wall screws , which were not measured . Window covering are crooked I have spent over $4000. On repairs on a scale of 1 to 10. Minus 10 . I have so much money I have so money invested in it can’t afford to trade in. I could go on and on but I think you get the idea

The trailer had a tub that worked great for the little ones and a larger stove than some other options we looked at. The awning and outside speakers made it great for hanging out at as well.

I bought my trailer used after someone traded it in for a larger trailer 3 months after buying it. I got a great price. The trailer has now been from coast to coast and from Canada down to south Florida and I have to say so far we have been completely pleased. I have had the trailer for four years and I'm running into some maintenance now after putting around 50,000 miles on the trailer. I figure it's due. It is a 2015 Wildwood X-Lite 281QBXL. It has been pretty tough. I wish the front storage compartment had bigger doors. Nothing is heavy duty but it says X-Lite on the front of the trailer which sums it up. I do regular maintenance on it and overall it has exceeded my expectations so far. It isn't perfect but I would buy it again. Good value for the money.

Overall I like the RV, that we selected for the floor plan. This is my third RV, but my first Forrest River. I have had more trouble with this RV in the four years that I have owned it than I did with any previous RV. The first issue was the antenna would not retract, was told by the dealer that it had to be replaced, not covered by warranty. Second, the power outlet next to the bed stopped working, again had to be replaced, not covered by warranty. Third, the CO2 monitor was malfunctioning, had to be replaced, you guessed it... not covered. The final straw was that the large sofa, covered in some sort of vinyl started peeling. It looks terrible. Contacted Forrest River and they said that they would not do anything, and that I should contact the furniture manufacturer, Lippert. I contacted Lippert who told me they could not help me, but offered me a discount on new furniture, the catalog they provided didn’t even have anything that resembles the unit in my RV. I now have to find someone who will either recover or replace the sofa unit. I have run into other owners who have had similar problems, and have read that in some cases Lippert at least provided replacement fabric, but nobody will accept any responsibility for defective materials.
