We had a good experience with the Excursion 35E. We bought it for the size and the floor-plan. The size is small enough to say your 35' to fit into national parks, like Yosemite and Yellowstone; but, large enough that a family with three kids can travel/live for extended periods without feeling real cramped. The drop-down full-size queen over the driver area is fantastic. (the most comfortable place in the rv). The Freightliner chassis is reliable. We felt the 300HP had plenty of power to tow a CRV without really knowing it was there and still get 10mpg average. The kitchen is well appointed with good counter space. I do recommend the washer/dryer installed in the back bedroom. The bedroom had wall space perfect to mount a desk I had made and worked from the road. The drawbacks are the house batteries that are too hard to access so I replaced the water-filled with gel. The interior construction is adequate, but the wall panels and trim are all attached with staples which can back out (I don't have enough experience with other RVs to know if this is standard). They should have had a roof vent in the back bedroom. Overall I would still buy the same RV again.

For the money this is an outstanding value as a Diesel Pusher, there isn't much to want for as most of it is included. For the money this is an outstanding value as a Diesel Pusher, there isn't much to want for as most of it is included. The 300HP motor is a tad under powered and it's unfortunate the transmission doesn't allow for a engine update to maybe 340HP which this motor is more than capable of handling. The skimpy 1 year warranty and lack of dealer support makes buying any RV a hit or miss deal, and worse yet if you didn't buy where your trying to have repairs done, warranty or not. Minor issues that could be major, several leaks found, this stuff is amazing, cars don't leak, house don't leak especially if new, simple things failing, lights not working, crappy assembly lack of detail for something that cost 135K+. Get it that Fleetwood does not make the reefers, but they do install them, they do build the body, and they do put it all together. For us, we're out of the game, way to much effort for something that cost so much money. If you're buying a RV, regardless of make, prepare for the issues, some easliy fixed others not so much. Otherwise the 33D and Fleetwood make a sweet looking Coach, it's just to bad it requires effort to enjoy them.

The kitchen is like being at home, especially with the full size fridge. The wife loves the reclining passenger seat. Only changes I would make, is instead of a regular sofa, I would make it a recliner sofa, and the rear tail pipe makes it difficult turning when pulling a trailer. would shorten it a little.
