2006 Winnebago Class C reviews

I previously owned a Class B RV and have rented several Class C models. The Winnebago Aspect has been the best overall RV experience. My usage has generally been traveling with one other person plus my 50lb best friend. The Aspect handles the road conditions like a dream and has plenty of power for mountain passes. The layout for the galley and food prep counter space is better than any other Class C in this size range. The head has plenty of room and the queen bed provides all the support and room for a tall person. The rig has been exceptionally reliable and parts, wiring diagrams and other support from Winnebago's website is top-notch. Show less

Awesome! I love the 2006 View J configuration! The View is a short 24ft so it is extremely easy to drive and maneuver, even in the forest and mountains. However, the slide-out makes the interior feel quite spacious...feels more like a micro apartment than a camper van. I love the 23J layout. Everything is easy to access and just the right size. I don't feel like any space is wasted, but it still feels very "open" compared to other RVs of this size. The exterior compartments are very easy to access and surprisingly big. I love that the main storage area can fit my bike when I fold the rear bed up, so I dont need to mess with getting a bike trailer hitch. The carpet is a pretty deep shag, so it may be get a little gross after being used for many years; I would look for one with new flooring installed or thoroughly clean the carpet before use. The Mercedes Diesel Sprinter Van chassis is extremely easy to service due to its wild popularity. I wanted to replace a belt once that was old and started squeaking... everyone knows the machinery very well and parts are easy to find. This is a great RV for those seeking the comfort of extra room....given as a result of two very well done slide - outs. Sitting on a Ford E-450 Chassis with that great Ford V10 gives it all the power you need. Show less

I used to own this very same rv. Really like it. Very comfortable. Traded for a 32' class A with 3 slides and 2 AC and 2 beds, and side cameras along with the back. If not for my 120 lb German Shepherd and 2 young grandsons, I actually prefer the Aspect over my Alante. Only problem that wasn't repaired when I traded was the cab AC would go...off-on-off-on...when hitting rough roads. I was given $28k for the Aspect for trade value. So if they did a few repairs/new carpet, the price seems fair. Show less

Really enjoyed this RV. Very good gas mileage and easy to drive, park and maneuver. Comfortable for a small family. Mercedes diesel and transmission coupled together make a great combination. The Winnebago coach has it all and solidly build in the 2006 model year. Show less

I BOUGHT THIS UNIT FROM THE FACTORY WITH EVERYTHING I WANTED AFTER HAVING OWNED A PREVIOUS WINNEBAGO!!! PLUS . . . IT WAS HIGHLY ECOMMENDED, and I TRUSTED THE SALESMAN!!! PRICE SEEMED FAIR, BUT HAVING RECEIVED DURING LATE WINTER . . . LOST A LOT OF WARRANTY STUFF!!! ABOVE ... WHERE SECOND BEDROOM WAS TO BE . . . WE DECIDED ON STORAGE AND TELEVISION!!! TV ON WRONG SIDE . . . CAN"T SEE FROM BED!!! FRIDGE HAD TO BE REPLACED . . . NO SWAY BAR ... SPARE TIRE FELL OFF ... BOTH REAR HUB CABS FELL AWAY ... HAD TO FIX WATER HEATER MY SELF ... ALL BLINDS HAD TO BE REPLACED . . . BOTH AIR VENTS ... LIGHTER WORKED ONLY FOR A FEW MONTHS ... HAD FURNACE FIXED 3 TIMES . . . HAVE TALKED TO SEVERAL OWNERS TALKING ABOUT LAW SUITS, BUT OF COURSE ... WINNEBAGO HAS WAY TO MUCH MONEY TO FIGHT!!! ONLY RECOURSE I HAVE HAD IS WHEN PEOPLE ASK ME WHAT'S A GOOD RV TO BUY ... Great Entry RV. Has all the features of a large RV but handles like a minivan. Interior cabinets and textiles are in excellent shape after 12 year. The quality shows. All systems still in working order after 12 years. Show less

24 feet is a very easy RV length to learn to drive especially for beginners. It's perfect for two people. My wife and I have one as a tour vehicle for our band. It's just the two of us and we get all of our instruments, gear and Merch in the bunk above the drivers seat. It's comfortable to drive even long distances, ours had cruise control which was a necessity. We visited 40 states coast to coast in all weather. Drove through anunexpected blizzard in Yellowstone without chains with no problem. Up and down mountains, elevations caused no problems. We love our View. Show less
