I bought a new Jayco Seneca from Flagg RV. When U went to pick it up, the dealer had someone washing it so it was wet when I took it. When I got it home I realized the cab was covered in spray dust from the manufacturing process and that is how they left it. The generator leaked diesel fuel when it ran. I called the dealership and explained I was leaving for Florida the next day so the service manager told me if I could get the unit there by noon, they would take care of it. Well I got there by noon and waited all day. At 5 when they were closing, they hadn't even looked at it. When I went to see the service manager, he told me they don't work on generators. Why I had to sit there for 5 hours to be told they wouldn't fix it, I have no idea. Anyway, I went home, pulled the cover off and found a loose fuel line. Fixed it myself in 15 minutes. The sliding drawers un the pantry are secured by plastic fasteners which break pretty quickly. When you open the door, you find all of the drawers laying at the bottom broken off. The biggest problem I had was the chemical smell from the adhesives used in manufacture. On a hot day, you could barely breath in there. Had to ju.p in, open the windows and put on the exhaust fan for 15 minutes before I could use it. I kept this unit garaged since new, but it rusted extensively on the undercarriage, propane tank and generator. The back bumper is junk. Why the industry stopped providing bumpers is a puzzle to me. One tiny bump and you have a really large repair bill. Seems like they could do a lot better. Another complaint was the levelers. I couldn't tell you how many times I was stuck with them down. A real pain in the butt. Finally, the automatic steps broke and stayed open on a trip to Tennessee. Had to crawl under and rewire it to get it to close. They use garbage connectors that corrode. Why they don't use a marine grade fastener in an environment that is exposed to the weather is another manufacturing shortcut to save a couple of dollars. The house batteries are 12 volt wired in parallel. This is a poor design and results in the batteries destroying each other because of constant voltage flowing back and forth. I replaced them twice and finally went with large 6 volt batteries wired in a series. That solved the problem. The reason they don't come like that, is those batteries are twice as expensive so they go the cheap route knowing it won't last the customer a year.

Downsized to a Class C from a 40' deisel pusher due to health issues. It took a while to get used to less space, but enjoyed the instant manouverability and parking that the smaller TV offered. The few long multistage trips we took offered some seat time, and was pleasantly surprised as to how comfortable it was to drive long distances. I towed a small Volvo behind it with no issues. It offered plenty of power with the V8 engine. The living area was a little cramped compared to what we were used to, but once we figured out what not to bring along, it offered sufficient space. All other appliance aspects were almost the same. We can't complain about anything with this unit. I did the job it was made for and even though it's an older RV, it still offered a reliable travel unit, with most of the comforts of home.
